Imposition of VAT on Immovable Property: Insights and Perspectives
Recent changes in the VAT Law have resulted in different VAT treatment of leasing of immovable property (rentals) as from 13 November 2017. The VAT treatment of the sale of undeveloped building land has also drastically changed as from 2 January 2018. For this purpose the Cyprus House of Parliament and Tax Department have released Regulations and Circulars respectively, clarifying the applicability for the imposition of VAT on the sale of undeveloped building land as well as on commercial rentals.
Our VAT workshop aims to throw light at these recent amendments that have been introduced to the Cyprus VAT Law during the last couple of months. It is also planned to aid participants stay up to date with the recent VAT developments and comply with the relevant VAT legislation.
