Multiplier event

Outputs and results of the Dem4BiPV project

The first Multiplier Event of the Dem4BIPV project took place on 6 June 2018 at the University of Cyprus in Nicosia. This event was the first of a series of national multiplier events that will be organized in each partner country with the primary purpose of sharing the intellectual outputs developed during the project and of disseminating them among interested stakeholders. The event was opened by Ambassador of the Netherlands to Cyprus, Mrs. Nathalie Jaarsma. In her opening address, the Ambassador welcomed the project as part of much-needed international effort to work towards the climate goals outlined in the Paris Agreement as well as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The final panel session coordinated by Deloitte’s IEC, demonstrated clearly the opportunity for new energy models promoting integration of BiPV and the need for greater collaboration between academia, industry and government in order to develop lighthouse projects and learn from implementation. Valuable insights from experts from Austria, Germany and the Netherlands were given. The event brought together academia and industry representatives providing a ground for sharing and exchanging views among tutors, students, enterprises and other stakeholders on BIPV.
