Luděk Hanáček and Jan Marek Appointed as Deloitte’s New Partners
Luděk Hanáček, Partner in the Tax and Legal function of Deloitte
Luděk Hanáček, age 37, was appointed as a new Partner in the Tax and Legal function of Deloitte, effective since 1 June 2015. Luděk is responsible for a team of experts providing advisory services in the area of research, development, subsidies and tax support in the Czech Republic and the entire Central European region. Before being promoted, Luděk was Director in the Tax function. He joined Deloitte in 2005 and has long-term experience in analysing the funding of projects from public sources and tax budgets and preparing requests for public support.
During his professional career, Luděk has coordinated and realised a wide range of successful projects for multinational and domestic businesses and public entities, funded predominantly from EU and national funds and in the form of tax relief.
Luděk also trains representatives of commercial and public institutions in the area of the preparation of projects funded from public sources, project and financial management and reporting.
Jan Marek, Partner in the Financial Advisory function of Deloitte
Jan Marek, age 40, was appointed as a new Partner in the Financial Advisory function of Deloitte, effective since 1 June 2015. Jan is responsible for the Czech and Slovak valuation team. Concurrently, he is a member of the Tax and Legal function, specialising in the interconnection of transfer pricing and valuation. Before being promoted, Jan was Director in the Financial Advisory function of Deloitte. Jan joined Deloitte in 2000.
Jan’s predominantly focuses on the valuation and development of financial models for the purposes of litigation, transactions and transfer pricing. Jan has led projects in a number of European countries, as well as in America and Africa.
Before joining Deloitte, Jan was a portfolio manager and broker at the Prague Stock Exchange. He graduated in economics at Charles University in Prague. Jan is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Charted Financial Analyst (CFA), member of the Commission of Expertise at the Ministry of Justice, member of the Advisory Board of IES FSV of Charles University and president of the European Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers.
