New York – 21 November 2013 - Deloitte transfer pricing teams and professionals were recognized for excellence in transfer pricing by International Tax Review (ITR). In the inaugural release of ITR’s World Transfer Pricing 2014, Deloitte had more tier one rankings than any other firm or network included in the guide, and was ranked tier one in 48 of 51 jurisdictions.
To earn a tier one ranking, a firm must have a leading reputation within its jurisdiction, a varied portfolio of work, offer a range of transfer pricing services, and work with a variety of different clients.
“The 2014 World Transfer Pricing Guide premieres the significant recognition of Deloitte through achieving tier one rankings in 94 percent of jurisdictions worldwide. This number one ranking is attributed to the significant knowledge and experience in the transfer pricing area within Deloitte member firms,” said Todd Wolosoff, Managing Director, Transfer Pricing, DTTL. “This remarkable recognition is largely attributable to the teamwork and strength of the entire Deloitte global transfer pricing network and the high quality transfer pricing services that our professionals bring to the marketplace.”
Transfer pricing operations of multinational companies continue to be monitored more closely by tax authorities and are increasingly becoming more public. The greater scrutiny on transfer pricing led ITR to produce a guide intended to aid companies in finding the right transfer pricing adviser. The aim of the guide, which ranks firms based on several criteria, is to provide tax executives with a full picture of the market for tax advice.
