Favourite part of your job?
Pushing for new initiatives and moving things forward by turning ideas into reality.

How did you end up in Robotics?
I have always been interested in the combination of business and technology in a way that creates value. They have often been combined in common processes across HR, finance and back offices. Robotics is another example of business and technology coming together in an exciting way.

Interests outside of work:
Running, volleyball, spending time with my family, spending time with friends over drinks

Jan Hejtmánek – Senior Manager

Nationality: Czech

Joined Deloitte: January 2016

Favourite part of your job?
Working with bright people  and seeing that our work actually has an impact for our partners and clients. Everyone is pleased when they realize they don‘t need to do boring and manual work.

How did you end up in Robotics?
When working as a Business  Excellence lead in an SSC we were looking for a way to further improve efficiency besides Lean 6sigma methods.

Being the nerd that I am, RPA just seemed like a good idea, so we pursued it and created one of the first RPA centers world-wide. We took global leadership into a bright future, while not jeopardizing security or work morale.

Interests outside of work:
My family, technology (AI), flying, music, theater

Petr Kavalek – Manager

Nationality: Czech

Joined Deloitte: April 2016

Favourite part of your job?
The fact that no two days are the same. I get to collaborate with colleagues at partner firms and manage big projects domestically.

How did you end up in Robotics?
Six years ago I met Jan who was incredibly enthusiastic about RPA. I was already working in the field of automation and it did not take me too much convincing to continue working with him.

Interests outside of work:
Hard & heavy music, squash, roller skating, reading

Marek Stejskal – Senior Consultant

Nationality: Czech

Joined Deloitte: July 2016

Favourite part of your job?
I relish discovering new approaches and applying new technologies to solve various automation challenges. As part of the robotics team I have been able to use, and improve upon, skills from several key programming areas, ranging from database optimisation to application development.

How did you end up in Robotics?
I previously worked as an application developer, and in robotics I liked the prospect of project assessment, development and deployment taking a matter of weeks rather than years. When Deloitte offered me the role of RPA Developer, I was delighted to join the team.

Interests outside work:
Hiking, climbing, canoeing, craft beers

Laurel Rigsbee – Senior Consultant

Nationality: American

Joined Deloitte: November 2013

Favourite part of your job?
What I like best about consulting is the variety. No two clients are ever the same, no two projects are ever the same, and it’s rare that even two consecutive days are the same. Working internationally brings a new level of complexity and excitement to the job that allows me to continually learn and be challenged.

How did you end up in Robotics?
I have an extensive background in analytics and risk management. Leading RPA projects requires both of these skills because each new process brings a whole new set of challenges. Analytics gave me the ability to assess from both the big and small picture while my background in risk helped to watch for red flags that may arise along the way.

Interests outside of work:
Travelling, fitness, and doing absolutely nothing all day at the beach.

Juraj Kis – Consultant

Nationality: Slovak

Joined Deloitte: July 2015

Favourite part of your job?
Working and meeting with  many different types of people across the company – CEO, CIO, HR, Operations and others all over the world. My job provides with a wide range of opportunities for creativity and self-development.

How did you end up in Robotics?
I worked as an IT auditor at Deloitte, focusing on their internal systems. During a coffee break at work I met with our current Partner, Milan. After a short conversation I found myself sitting in his office discussing my future involvement in Robotics.

Interests outside of work:
Travelling, socializing, books, fitness, tennis

Lara Wigdor – Consultant

Nationality: Canadian

Joined Deloitte: February 2016

Favourite part of your job?
Working internationally, being exposed to different industries and delivering workshops for business analysts. Having been on projects in industries such as banking, pharmaceuticals and material sciences has allowed me to learn about which parts of robotics can be applied broadly and which are unique to our clients.

How did you end up in Robotics?
My first position at Deloitte involved a lot of research. While writing  a report on the future of work, I was drawn to the impacts of automation. I was then given the opportunity to participate in a training course for RPA developers and have enjoyed being part of the RPA team ever since.

Interests outside of work:
Travelling, languages, trying different cuisine, spending time outdoors
