And the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT is presenting the intelligent platform TeLiFIT. This platform designed for telemedicine services analyses measured values, which are transferred via mobile device.
Microsoft announced at Computex 2018 its “Windows 10 IoT Core Services“. They guarantee IoT device manufacturers – based on Windows 10 – IoT Core software updates over a 10-year period, allowing industrial buyers to rely on security as well as on software updates to the latest OS. Microsoft strategy is to address the growing concern regarding IoT device security and longer lifespan of such devices providing customers with long-term support.
The IoT packages presented by Deutsche Telekom (Telekom) focus particularly on small and medium-sized companies and include hardware, mobile connectivity, cloud storage and a web portal for easy use. Businesses should be able to run the solutions quickly and without expensive installation. The packages include “asset tracking”, a solution for companies to track mobile goods or machines as well as “Industrial machine monitoring” where companies can automatically monitor their machines and get real-time, reliable information about their condition. With the "IoT Service Button" Telekom is also advertising another solution. At the touch of a button, you can order spare parts, pick up full containers or report technical malfunctions.
The industrial automation company Rockwell Automation forms strategic partnership with software company PTC, including a $1bn equity investment. The agreement is expected to accelerate growth for both companies who plan to target potential customers wanting to transform their physical operations with digital technology.
