The key to success: regulatory expertise combined with innovation
Our team of AFC specialists, RegTech experts and industry partners help you address current and future regulatory challenges with intelligent and scalable solutions
RegTech is short version of the terms "Regulatory" and "Technology" and is considered to be a sub-sector of the FinTech industry.
RegTech companies are leveraging the latest innovative technologies, such as Big Data, Cloud-based services, Blockchain technologies and Artificial Intelligence to manage regulatory and compliance requirements. RegTech services thus enable greater agility and speed in addressing regulatory requirements.
Modernization in the GRC environment is no longer optional. The use of RegTech offers the possibility to work more efficiently along the entire compliance process chain, to save costs and to ensure more transparency towards regulators and supervisory authorities.
Get in contact with us to develop smart RegTech solutions tailored to your needs in a collaborative environment - all within a unique "sandboxing" process.

Our RegTech Centre of Excellence is based on the following five pillars

Trend Scouting
Trend Scouting
Staying ahead of the game with the Trend Scouting approach!
By using our Trend Scouting approach, we identify the latest RegTech trends in order to offer our clients the best possible advice and solutions around regulatory challenges.
Why?
Due to fast-moving technologies, there is often a lack of market insights, hence our goal is to identify innovative trends of the future in the RegTech Universe in order to be one step ahead for our clients. We also take a close look at the regulatory pain points of our clients in order to advise them. Not only our clients face ongoing changes in the market as well as increasing regulations, but often there is also a lack of technical know-how and RegTech awareness as well as outdated compliance structures and systems.
What?
Trend Scouting means to identify and evaluate the current trends and influencing factors in the RegTech Universe. The focus is on developing new scenarios through in-depth research, iterative loops and exchanges with the respective stakeholders. During the Trend Scouting process, we consult with internal and external experts to develop the best possible use cases and to identify RegTech solutions for our clients.
How?
By using professional expertise and trend radar tools, we identify RegTech trends and related hot topics. Once we have come across a trend, we conduct a deep-dive analysis where we develop a research analysis and a use case. This is followed by an initial conversation with the key stakeholder. After several refinements and iterations, the final use case is ready to be published and available to our clients.
Trend Scouting Process
These five iterative steps are the core process of Trend Scouting.

RegTech Lab & Sandboxing
RegTech Lab & Sandboxing
Sandboxing is a key enabler for RegTech solutions!
We identify client pain points in an iterative process. Apply our defined, proven and well-established Sandboxing approach.
Why?
Many factors, such as the constant evolution of the market, have made it difficult for our clients to successfully target their pain points.
With our Sandboxing approach we give our customers and partners the opportunity to find innovative solutions for their compliance pain points with black box character.
What?
When it comes to "Sandboxing“ we create an innovative environment of latest technologies combined with regulatory expertise for our clients. We build blocks of regulatory risk for market success in collaboration with other business lines and related initiatives.
We want to offer our clients added value as a platform for external RegTech providers and innovative Deloitte initiatives to identify your potential for improvement and find solutions.
How?
By putting compliance pain points at the heart of the digitization process, we apply the Sandboxing approach in a regulatory context to improve assets and services.
- Cooperation with first class RegTech vendors
- Bundled Deloitte Know-How and capabilities
- A dedicated Sandbox to allow agile and innovative workshops
