Future of Robo-Advisory

Risk Advisory

Frankfurt am Main, June 5, 2018

Robo-Advisory is now recognized as one of the most important disruptive trends in the asset and wealth management industry. “Robo-Advise” and “Robo-Advisors” have become well-known buzzwords, and the growth prospects for business models relying on such systems are highly promising. Robo-Advisors have already shown spectacular growth in the US and UK markets. In Germany and other countries in continental Europe, these systems are gaining increasing interest and have started to grow explosively. The development of Robo-Advisors in Europe is now at a critical phase characterized by great potential yet considerable uncertainty.

The future development of the Robo Advisors depends on the complex interplay of three dimensions:

  1. Algorithmic methodology and technology
  2. Regulatory requirements
  3. Business considerations

During our “Future of Robo-Advisory” event, we will cover and link these three critical dimensions. The program will include presentations from innovators and companies leading the sector. We will share our knowledge of the current methodological landscape of Robo-Advisors and translate the complex mathematical and algorithmic methods into business language. We will touch on regulatory constraints and focus on the interplay of methodology and pragmatic implementation to derive concrete business options. The event will culminate in a panel discussion among recognized experts from different areas that are relevant to the future development of Robo-Advisors. The talks and discussions will conclude with a get-together event with snacks and drinks at the Frankfurter Botschaft Restaurant.
