Privacy notice for event participants

In connection with your participation in the event “Reshape the Now”, Deloitte will, as the data controller, collect and process personal data about you for the purposes specified below. Therefore, please read this text carefully in order to understand how we process your personal data.

We collect and process the following types of personal data for the purposes of managing your event registration; planning and conducting the event; evaluating the event; handling internal and external marketing activities including marketing campaigns, as well as general branding at our social media platforms:

  •  your name; e-mail address; telephone number, job title; name of employer/company; portrait photo; photos taken of you during the event as well as quotes from you during the event.
No profiling is taking place as part of these processing activities.
The personal data are collected from you or from our photographer.  

We collect and process your data based on the following articles of GDPR:

  • Art. 6 paragraph 1 (a); your consent
  • Art. 6 paragraph 1 (f) the legitimate interests of Deloitte

The legitimate interests pursued by Deloitte include the following purposes: Planning and conducting the event in an effective manner as well as evaluating the event as part of an ongoing internal evaluation and enhancement process require collection and processing of your personal data as described in this privacy notice.

Deloitte recognize the rights and right of freedom of individuals and we are aware that Deloitte’s interests may in some situations conflict with such rights. However, processing activities are being thoroughly assessed to ensure a fair balance between the rights of individuals and Deloitte’s interests and to ensure that any potential impact to the individuals is proportionate with the purposes of the processing

In connection with one or more purposes outlined above, your personal data may be disclosed to and shared with the following recipients: Vendors and event sponsors and other Deloitte entities. We may also share your personal data with public authorities, when this is required by law or regulation.

When accessing the virtual platform on the day of the event, your name, title, company name, profile text, LinkedIn page and interests will be visible on the site for the other event attendees to see in the tab ‘Participants’. Your profile will however only be visible for other participants, if you click the box ‘Share my profile’.

Transfer of personal data to data processors
We may transfer your personal data to other Deloitte entities. We may also transfer your data to IT providers, including cloud service providers, or to vendors of external services, who process and /or store the personal data on our behalf.
We store your personal data (contact information, evaluation inputs, photos and quotes) for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above, or until your consent is withdrawn.

Subject to the conditions set out in the applicable data protection legislation, you enjoy the following rights:

  • The right to request access to your personal data
  • The right to rectification of your personal data
  • The right to erasure of your personal data
  • The right to restriction of processing
  • The right to withdraw your consent at any time
  •  The right to objection to the processing of your personal data
  • The right to objection to profiling

Please note that these rights are not absolute, as they should always be balanced against legal requirements and Deloitte’s legitimate interest.

Please be aware, that if you subsequently withdraw your consent or object to the processing, Deloitte will immediately remove your personal data from digital media and cease further processing of your data. However, photos and quotes used in already printed (physical) campaigns cannot be deleted.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
