What is your name and any pet name?
Anders Kjeldgaard Madsen.
When did you join Deloitte?
I joined Deloitte in August 2016 and work from the Esbjerg department.
Why did you apply for a job with Deloitte?
I have always been very interested in finances and numbers, but I actually did not see accountant coming up as a choice. From friends I heard about the work as an accountant trainee and found out that it actually complied with many of the things that interested me. Subsequently I chose Deloitte as I had only heard good things about Deloitte as a workplace. Furthermore, I saw a social aspect in Deloitte, including, among other things, a trip to Brussels for all new trainees.
What is your educational background?
I have been an exchange student in the USA and subsequently graduated from the business college. As part of the trainee process, I am now studying HD Part 1.
What would you like to get out of your trainee process?
Basically, I would like to strengthen my professional and personal development. The clear advantage of the trainee process is that you can link the theory from the HD study with your daily practical work. This process is a clear favourite for me as the theoretical knowledge thus becomes more useful.
What characterises you as a colleague?
As a colleague, I am open to new initiatives and people. I like to be challenged with a task and see something succeed. Therefore, it is important for me to help where I have the chance.
What are your hobbies?
I am interested in sports and in my time off, I have played many different sports. Furthermore, I like to travel – both skiing and summer holidays. This, among other things, was the reason I liked to become an exchange student in the USA. Last, but not least, I like to spend time with friends going out and having fun.
Impact that matters. What difference do you make in everyday life?
I try to contribute with a positive mindset so that everyday life becomes more fun for clients, colleagues and myself.
