1. What is your name and, if you have one, your nickname?
My name is Martin.
2. When did you join Deloitte?
I joined Deloitte as a part-time graduate in February 2017, and started as a full time graduate in August 2017.
3. Why did you apply for a job with Deloitte?
I applied to Deloitte because some of the employees I knew there recommended it to me. They told me it was a great and innovative company with lots of opportunities. I was told that I would be challenged and able to develop my skills. Moreover, I applied for the job at Deloitte as there is a high level of social interaction with your colleagues, and you work as part of a team rather than by yourself.
4. What is your educational background?
My educational background is Cand. Merc. Aud.
5. What would you like to get out of your graduate process?
I would like to develop my skills and become a capable auditor. I have learned a lot of theory while I was at university, and it is important for me that I learn how to apply this theory in practice.
6. What characterises you as a colleague?
It is important for me that all of my colleagues are included in the process when we work together on an assignment. I always try to make sure that everybody uses his or her abilities in the way that enables us to be the best that we can be.
7. What are your hobbies?
I like to play football and golf, and travelling the world.
8. Impact that matters. What difference do you make in everyday life?
I strive to create value for my customers as well as for my colleagues. I try to create a working environment where people thrive and are able to make an impact.
I take an interest in my customers and colleagues. Get to understand their preferences and abilities. I always value the social interaction and relationship with customers, because this is not to be underestimated. I believe customers want to feel that you take an interest in their daily life and their business. My experience is that, in the customer’s view, this social interaction is what separates us from other auditing firms.
