As the new year comes ever closer, so it is time to turn our attention to the changes it will entail.

In our multidisciplinary 2024 year-end webcast, we report on changes to the legal framework brought about by case law, provide an overview of selected implemented and upcoming changes to business law, and venture an outlook on upcoming macroeconomic and national and international developments.

First, two colleagues from Deloitte Legal's Berlin office will present key legal developments that are already relevant for business practice or will be by 2025 at the latest. Among other things, our speakers will address the following topics:

  • Justice Location Strengthening Act and the introduction of (International) Commercial Courts in Germany
  • Fourth Bureaucracy Relief Act
  • Act Implementing the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and (other) developments in the area of corporate social responsibility – what additional obligations can be expected?
  • Developments in employee participation in the SE
  • Overview over further current topics

Following the overview of legal developments, Dr. Alexander Börsch, Chief Economist and Director of Research at Deloitte Germany, will give an outlook on our expectations regarding the economic and trade policy landscape in the near future, with a particular focus on the possible effects of the measures announced by President-elect Donald Trump on German companies.

After their presentations, the speakers will of course be available for a detailed Q&A.

Please feel free to submit your questions for the Q&A session when you register.

At our last webcast of 2024, we would like to present one of this year's Hidden Movers projects of the Deloitte Foundation, which you can support by participating: With each participant, we increase our donation to a good cause. We will announce the supported project and the total donation amount at the end of our webcast.

We look forward to your participation.
