Deloitte Legal expands its array of digital transformation services
Three new partners with teams for digital economy and TMT sector
Deloitte Legal continues its growth strategy by focusing on digital transformation. With Dr. Tobias Fuchs, the previous head of TMT (technology, media and telecommunication) at KPMG Law, Dr. Sven Timmerbeil (KPMG Law) and Dr. Katharina Scheja, formerly head of IT and Outsourcing at Dentons Europe LLP, Deloitte Legal has won three new partners. Moreover, Dr. Till Contzen (Dentons) joins the firm’s Frankfurt office as counsel.
“Deloitte as the world’s largest audit and consulting firm is convinced that there is enormous growth potential in the field of digital transformation. The expansion of Deloitte Legal’s array of services for the digital economy as well as technology, media and telecommunication is a logical step in extending our competencies and strengthening our position in the market”, explains Prof. Dr. Martin Plendl, Deloitte Germany’s CEO.
Together with the new partners, four (senior) associates will move from KPMG Law and Dentons to Deloitte Legal. Dr. Caroline Geiger, Dr. Florian Eisenmenger and Stephanie Kringer who previously worked for KPMG Law will move to Deloitte Legal’s Munich office, whereas Pierre-Daniel Wittmann will join the firm’s Frankfurt office coming from Dentons. The new colleagues are an important cornerstone for further expanding Deloitte Legal’s capabilities in dealing with all legal facets of digital transformation.
With Dr. Tobias Fuchs, Dr. Sven Timmerbeil, Dr. Katharina Scheja and their teams, Deloitte Legal has at one glow significantly strengthened its manpower. Together with Dr. Söntje Hilberg, Berlin, and Stefan Wilke, Düsseldorf, we now cover all areas of law relevant for the digital economy and TMT. Dr. Tobias Fuchs will press ahead with the expansion of the practice now led by him and thereby underpin Deloitte’s ambition of being the number one transformer in this segment”, adds Thomas Northoff, managing partner at Deloitte Legal.
