Deloitte Legal advises Kanematsu in the acquisition of a participation in di support
A Deloitte Legal team led by Frankfurt/Düsseldorf-based Corporate/M&A partner Andreas Jentgens has advised Kanematsu Corporation on the acquisition of a minority participation in di support GmbH.
With this acquisition, Kanematsu Corporation, one of the world’s largest distributors of photo printers, sets another step in its business expansion activities. Within the framework of the transaction, besides Kanematsu as strategic investor, ACC Holding as financial investor became a shareholder and acquired a majority shareholding in di support GmbH.
The Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt) has approved the transaction on December 18, 2019.
Kanematsu relied on Deloitte’s multidisciplinary services to support the transaction.
di support GmbH was founded in 2000 and has its headquarter in Eschborn, close to Frankfurt am Main, Germany. di support GmbH offers core business solutions for instant printing of photos and gift items. In the field of digital imaging, di support GmbH is one of the most innovative companies and has been growing dynamically, constantly expanding its product portfolio.
The new shareholder structure at di support GmbH will contribute to the strengthening of di support GmbH’s market position, creates perspectives for the future and will contribute to fostering the international expansion of di support GmbH’s business.
The previous majority shareholders and managing directors Ralph Naruhn and Matthias Linhart will remain in office as managing directors of di support. They have both also retained significant shareholdings in di support.
