Deloitte Legal advises on sale of a majority stake in HAIN LIFESCIENCE GmbH to the US Bruker Corporation
A Deloitte Legal team around Stuttgart-based Dr. Marcell Baumann (Counsel, Corporate/M&A) has advised the shareholders of HAIN LIFESCIENCE GmbH on the sale of a majority stake to NASDAQ listed Bruker Corporation. Deloitte Legal also advised the sellers on securing their future position as minority shareholders of the target company as well as the continuation of their management roles post-acquisition. The transaction is still subject to the condition of approval by the Federal Cartel Office.
HAIN LIFESCIENCE GmbH develops, produces and sells solutions for Molecular Diagnostics (MDx) with a focus on virology and microbiology. HAIN LIFESCIENCE is a leading company for sample preparation and diagnostic instruments, software, consumables and assays for the rapid and reliable detection of dangerous pathogens or genetic diseases. The company is headquartered in Nehren and has branches in several European and African countries, as well as a global sales network. For 2018, the company expects revenues of about $ 38 million.
