Rafael Sarlak

Rafael Sarlak joined Deloitte Legal in 2022 as an attorney in the Commercial Law service line with a focus on the Government & Public Sector. His practice primarily includes advising federal, state and local governments and their associated companies in private and public legal form. He advises them in particular on reorganization, cooperation and transaction projects as well as on the setup of their organizations, especially regarding all issues of corporate law and public commercial law.

Rafael was admitted to the bar in 2019. He studied law at the University of Düsseldorf and was a fellow of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation during his studies. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf with stations at the German Foreign Office in Guangzhou (China) and at a US law firm in New York City.

In addition to his professional activities for Deloitte Legal, Rafael is a member of the city council in his hometown Solingen.
