IFRS adoption challenges

Deloitte & Touche Bakr Abulkhair & Co would like to invite you to the 2017 International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) roadshow, to discuss the latest IFRS adoption challenges, updates on existing standards and new standards introduced. Background

The Saudi Organization of Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) has agreed to apply the International Financial Reporting standards (IFRSs). The application date for the preparation of financial statements for listed entities was for financial periods starting January 1, 2017. For other entities, the application date shall be for financial periods starting January 1, 2018.

  • Deloitte’s “IFRS Specialists” will offer practical implementation guidance using case studies and insights into the technical issues faced by “IFRS end-users” while applying these highly-complex standards which are “principle-based” in their approach and therefore require in-depth research into their interpretations in order to apply them properly.
