Competition Law: 

With the COVID-19 pandemic spreading throughout the Globe, many EU Member States have already announced significant financial and economic supporting measures of different forms. 

However, governments and companies still need to make sure that any support complies with the applicable regulations on State aid, including such measures having to be notified and/or approved by the European Commission (where applicable).

Below we will discuss the measures taken by the Spanish government to tackle the economic consequences of this unprecedented crisis, as well as the new Temporary Framework the European Commission has just adopted in order to further assist governments in coming up with robust aid measures to support businesses in these difficult times.
