Deloitte advised Vaisala in the acquisition of Maxar Intelligence’s WeatherDesk business

On 9th December 2024 Vaisala announced the acquisition of Maxar Intelligence's WeatherDesk business. WeatherDesk provides a suite of SaaS based weather intelligence solutions to customers in energy and commodity trading, primarily in North America.

Deloitte provided financial due diligence & carve-out review, tax due diligence & tax structuring services to Vaisala in the transaction.

Deloitte’s integrated financial & carve-out review team included Markus Wallin, Simon Kull, Niko Annola, Kalle Tiiri, Marko Pöllänen, Filip Brenner and Tommi Wiander. Tax team was led by Tomi Karsio and Terttu Liukko and they were supported by several other Finnish and US professionals.
