Deloitte CIS announces new appointments to the Board of directors

3 June 2016, Moscow. The CIS Board has appointed David Owen, former CEO of Deloitte CIS, as chairman. Thierry Benoit, who served as a partner in the Moscow office between 1991 and 1993, will be the deputy chairman.
David Owen served as CEO of Deloitte CIS between 2010 and 2014. His unique leadership style allowed him to promote and strengthen a range of Deloitte's business lines. He worked personally with key clients in the CIS and in other regions and expanded the company's presence in Russia by opening offices in Ufa and Yekaterinburg.
The CIS partners elected Nuran Kerimov, managing partner at Deloitte Azerbaijan and Olga Tabakova, Technology, Media & Telecommunications leader, to serve on the Board. Olga is the first woman in the history of Deloitte CIS to become a board member.
Nuran Kerimov started his career with Deloitte Azerbaijan in 2003 and has focused on advising clients on tax matters in Azerbaijan and globally. Nuran became a partner in 2008.
Olga Tabakova joined Deloitte Russia in 1995 and became a partner in 2004. She has led the Deloitte CIS Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice since 2007. She specialises in delivering Audit & Assurance services, transformation to IFRS/US GAAP, IFRS first time adoption, due diligence, internal controls and IPO-related services. She holds a Master’s degree in applied mathematics and is a CPA (USA).
