Deloitte is pleased to offer a number of exciting job opportunities for bright and proactive team players to join its Tax and Legal Department for the position of Lawyer/Legal Consultant:

The role will involve

  • Advising clients on corporate matters and drafting corporate documents
  • Providing legal support on commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating client contracts and commercial agreements
  • Providing legal advice on a range of laws, including company, commercial and administrative laws
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team comprising legal, tax and financial professionals to provide advice and assistance in mergers and acquisitions, including by conducting legal due diligence and drafting/reviewing share purchase agreements
  • Providing advice and assistance on regulatory and compliance matters, including privacy and technology matters that may affect a client’s business
  • Liaising with third parties and state bodies to ensure that clients’ concerns are fully and properly addressed
  • Representing clients before courts and administrative bodies, including by filing documents on clients’ behalf

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in law from a higher education institution in Georgia (a master’s degree in the relevant field of law from an accredited higher education institution of Georgia, the UK, the US, or the EU member state would be a plus)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience
  • Enrolled in the Georgian Bar Association would be a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Georgian (the knowledge of Russian would be a plus)
  • Ability to own an area of responsibility suggesting and implementing improvements
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural environment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
