Deloitte Legal hosted the Closing Reception and Award Ceremony of the 7th Tbilisi Pre-moot

 

Tbilisi Vis Pre-moot for Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration was launched in 2011 and has now become a steady tradition in Georgia. The Pre-moot is a two day competition aimed at preparing teams from Georgian as well as foreign universities for the international rounds of Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. This year the 7th Tbilisi Pre Moot hosted 15 universities from 6 countries.

On 11 February after the end of the oral rounds, Deloitte Georgia hosted the Closing Reception and Award Ceremony of the 7th Tbilisi Pre-moot at Fabrika Tbilisi for the participating teams and Georgian practitioners. The head of Deloitte Legal, Giorgi Khurodze, welcomed the guests at the event and then the Arbitration Initiative Georgia representatives announced the three best teams who got the highest scores in the pre-moot oral rounds as well as the best speaker.

The winners of the 7th Tbilisi Pre Moot are:

1st Place: New Vision University
2nd Place: Bucerius Law School
3rd Place: Aarhus University

Best individual oralist:

Janis Graeve (Bucerius Law School)

Best Georgian Speaker (Georgian Arbitrators’ Association (GAA) special award):

Mariam Surguladze (Georgian Institute of Public Affairs)
