Personal Data Protection in Employment (HR) Context
On 4 May Deloitte Tbilisi in partnership with the Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector held a seminar entitled Personal Data Protection in Employment (HR) Context at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel.
The processing of employee personal data starts before the beginning of the employment relationship, continues during employment and may extend even after its termination. Data protection compliance should be seen as an integral part of everyday employment practice. The abovementioned seminar was aimed at human resource practitioners, company managers and other employees who deal with personnel issues, learning how to meet the requirements under the law on Personal Data Protection when handling a large amount of employee personal data in the different phases of the employment process.
The list of attendees included some of the largest organisations operating in Georgia, such as Geocell, Georgian Water and Power, Gulf, Energo-Pro Georgia, Rompetrol, BasisBank, Halyk Bank, and many more.
