Tax and Transfer Pricing Seminar
On December 2, the Tax & Legal Department of Deloitte organized a Tax and Transfer Pricing Seminar at the Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi.
The keynote speaker at the seminar was Mr. Vladimir Elizarov, a Transfer Pricing Partner, Deloitte Tax & Legal Service, Moscow.
39 representatives from 27 large companies operating in Georgia and representatives of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia attended the seminar.
According to the feedback received from the attendees of the event, the transfer pricing seminar was useful for them, the companies received information on their points of their interest, and their questions were answered.
Deloitte Academy: FATCA Training
On October 29, by the request of our Tax & Legal Department, Deloitte Academy has organized FATCA Compliance Officer Training, for Georgian Financial institutes.
The training covered the role of the Responsible Officer under FATCA and the practical approach taken by financial institutions.
Alain Verbeken, Director, Deloitte Tax & Consulting, Luxemburg explained the typical control frameworks, internal governance, training and assurance methodologies that are implemented for FATCA and other similar regimes.
The representatives from thirteen different banks in Georgia attended the training.
The Presentation went well; the participants mentioned in their feedback that they learned quite a number of new things.
