Deloitte opens Innovation Tech Terminal (ITT) in Tel Aviv
ITT will connect US and Global Organizations to Israeli startups focused on Disruptive Technologies
ITT drives growth and builds relationships through tours and scouting services in globally recognized innovation hub
New York, November 17, 2016—To support enterprises looking to discover innovative ideas, technologies, and capabilities outside their own walls, Deloitte has launched the Innovation Tech Terminal (ITT) in Tel Aviv, Israel. Through immersion tours and scouting services, ITT helps US and global clients access and leverage the Israeli innovation ecosystem, a leading global hub for innovation.
Israel is a leading1 startup ecosystem outside the US, with approximately 6,000 startups in the country today. Many of these companies are focused on cyber, mobile, and blockchain technologies in the financial services industry, automotive and mobility solutions, digital health, the Internet of things, and sports technologies. Additionally, Israel is home to more than 300 research and development centers for global high-tech companies.
Our large multinational clients are pursuing innovation and growth strategies and often turn to Deloitte to explore and grow their external innovation networks. Deloitte has a unique ability to scan and identify emerging technologies, trends, and startups and introduce clients to potential alliance partners based on relationships we have with innovative incubators, accelerators, venture capital firms, and think tanks across academia, industries, professional organizations and other businesses. The ITT allows us to expand the reach of that work by helping clients establish relationships in the fast-growing and highly innovative Israeli startup market.
“The ITT opens doors for multinational clients who wish to become part of the innovative technological hub that is Israel,” said Amit Harel, Innovation practice leader, Deloitte Israel. “Our dedicated team provides service offerings including scouting services and immersion tours to connect clients with startups that align with their business and strategic goals. Clients also visit with local and global venture capital firms and government officials as part of an immersion tour to better understand the environment and opportunities in Israel.”
Clients will have the opportunity to meet with quality startups, entrepreneurs and stakeholders, and to experience disruptive technologies firsthand. For example, automotive company executives looking to protect their connected vehicles from hackers can experience a simulated hack—as they’re driving—conducted by a cyber startup. They can then learn about emerging technologies to safeguard their products from such attacks.
Deloitte will maintain a dedicated core team of ITT professionals from Israel and the US to work together in Tel Aviv to establish relationships with key ecosystem players, conduct research, build content and deliver solutions to clients.
