Since launching in 2017, Deloitte’s WorldClass initiative worked towards the goal of making an impact that matters in the futures of 50 million people by 2030. Through this program our practitioners across the world have used their skills and expertise to give back and participate in the change they hope to see in their community. The stories in this collection highlight some of these initiatives and the individuals impacted by this work.
Luminary Bakery is a social enterprise bakery supporting the UK's most disadvantaged women to reach their potential. With a team of talented bakers, baristas, strategists and support workers they enable women to live life to the full by offering training, employment and community.
Luminary Bakery is working with Deloitte UK to equip women to leave disadvantage behind - enabling a first experience of the world of work for women who have lived through gender-based violence and are the furthest from the job market. We are aiming to create employment and placement opportunities for 91 women to build a career - with a sustainable and supportive approach, empowering these women to thrive.
