Deloitte named a leader in cybersecurity incident response services by independent research firm
NEW YORK, NY, USA, 21 May 2019—Deloitte has been named a leader in Cyber Incident Response Services in Forrester’s recent report entitled The Forrester Wave™: Cybersecurity Incident Response Services, Q1 2019. Deloitte is a leader based on current offering and market presence.
“Deloitte is a global consultancy with cyber intelligence integrated into its end-to-end services to ensure incident readiness for clients,” writes Josh Zelonis, senior analyst serving security & risk professionals at Forrester, and one of the authors of the report. “It has a deep understanding of the requirements for a successful incident response and differentiates in how it articulates these requirements.”
“In today’s rapidly evolving environment, for many organizations, a cyber incident is not a matter of ‘if,’ but ‘when,’” says Nick Galletto, Deloitte’s Global Cyber Risk leader. “To ensure organizations are prepared in advance, Deloitte remains deeply committed to helping clients become resilient in the face of disruption.”
Forrester’s 11-criterion evaluation of cybersecurity incident response services providers, “identified the 15 most significant [providers]… and researched, analyzed, and scored them. This report shows how each provider measures up and helps security and risk professionals select the right one for their needs.”
The report also notes, “Beyond providing a postmortem of the incident and what went wrong, reports need to include a road map for implementing remediations and easily consumable information about the incidents that may be shared with security operations and your threat intelligence teams. The best vendors include appendices of indicators of compromise (IoC) including file hashes to achieve this.”
“Deloitte is pleased that Forrester has recognized us as a leader in the industry,” adds Kevvie Fowler, Deloitte Global’s Incident Response leader. “Our unique end-to-end incident management capabilities and global coverage better helps clients prepare for, respond to and emerge stronger from an incident. As we look to the future, Deloitte will continue to combine our breadth of products and services across the globe with technology to provide ongoing business value and serve as a strategic, trusted advisor.”
