Tell us about your career path at Deloitte (How long have you worked for Deloitte, how has your career evolved?)
I have been with Deloitte Canada since January 2016, where I worked in Audit until April 2017. Following my CPA leave this past summer, I am now transitioning to the advisory side of our business.
What has been your favorite part of working for Deloitte?
The learning experience. I am always being pushed out of my comfort zone to learn and grow.
What has been most interesting, challenging, or surprising about working for Deloitte?
The trust managers have put in me and their belief that I can figure out anything that comes up, while constantly providing their support.
What will stand out for you as the greatest benefit of working for Deloitte?
The Deloitte name is always good to have on your resume, but it is the way you learn and the variety of different scenarios and opportunities—with the help of managers, colleagues, coaches and mentors—that makes Deloitte the best schooling you will ever attend.
What is it about working for Deloitte that inspires you the most?
Teamwork. Whether it’s the direct project team, or the amazing extended relationships developed with colleagues who are just an instant message or a phone call away, you are never alone.
How has Deloitte invested in you as a leader, helping you grow?
The people I work with see my worth, and spend the time to help me grow and develop. Deloitte Canada has amazing training and access to networking events and conferences that constantly help us learn and connect with new and interesting people.

I had the chance to mentor a group of 13-year old girls for the Technovation Challenge, a worldwide competition to create their own mobile app and business plan. They won third place in the Montreal competition, which made me so proud. In the seven months I was involved, I learned a lot from the girls and my co-mentors, and evolved tremendously. Since then I have continued to be very involved in the community.
