Randolph Gordon has more than 30 years of experience in health care. His career has focused on improving health outcomes and a population’s health, having served as a practicing primary care physician, the health commissioner for the Commonwealth of Virginia, associate director of PHPPO at CDC, county health officer and chief medical officer of Bon Secours in Richmond. Currently, as a health care consultant, he leads projects in large health systems, assisting with transform to a value-based system with a focus on how physicians need to provide care differently. He has assisted large systems with clinical and physician structure and communications related to enterprise integration. He also leads Deloitte’s Physician Workforce of the Future initiative. He recently released the publication “Volume- to value-based care: Physicians are willing to manage cost but lack data and tools.”
Randolph Gordon continues to maintain his roots in primary care and public health. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Johns Hopkins School of Public Health Advisory Board. He has maintained his board certification in both family medicine and preventive medicine, has an active Virginia medical license and has a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
