Independent verification and assurance of non-financial/sustainability reports


Due to the great quantity of data collected, people involved and the overall complexity of the non-financial reporting process, sometimes internal and external users of non-financial/sustainability report are not certain about the accuracy and reliability of data presented.

The issues that arise are whether all important areas are included, whether the gathered data have the same quality, whether they are presented in a proper manner, in time, and consistently throughout the period

We use Deloitte’s own methodology for providing assurance services. The Global Assurance Methodology provides a coherent and effective approach to the services. In particular, it defines the appropriate path for designing our work. Our approach includes:

  1. Involvement in the process of defining both the company’s approach to report development, as well as defining the relevant company-related aspects, which will be presented in the report;
  2. A preliminary verification of the collected data and information, as well as of the draft report prepared by the company;
  3. Final verification of the report prepared by the company. Preparation of an independent, certification report along with a supplementary report.
