Deloitte’s volunteers in the Maksimir Park with Caritas Home proteges

Gathered under the motto “One Day For A Myriad of Children's Smiles”, Deloitte volunteers arranged a tour through the Zoo and a picnic in the Maksimir Park for the protégés of the Caritas Home for the children without proper parental care. Fifty kids and their nurses joined some seventy Deloitte volunteers, who left their computers, meetings and business suits for one day, and in great spirit spent the day with the Caritas Home children. During the picnic, we played lots of games, which included flying kites, badminton and the “mandatory” football tournament. Refreshments, like sandwiches and cookies, made an excellent fuel for this joint outing in the nature.

In this action Deloitte Croatia joined the global volunteering project called Impact Day, introduced in 2000 and taking place in Croatia since 2006. For Deloitte Croatia, this is the sixth time we participated in the Impact day. Deloitte’s volunteers hope that their actions will contribute towards spreading the culture of volunteering and corporate social responsibility.
