Ákos Lukács can look back on a more than ten-year career in sustainability and climate protection. First, he worked for the German Emissions Trading Office of the Federal Environmental Agency. He got to know European emissions trading as well as the allocation of free certificates in the member states in practice, which enabled him later to contribute to the conception of allocation plans for German power plants and various industries. Since then, he has advised a wide range of emission management companies, both in the private and public sectors.
In addition to his position as head of the Knowledge and Innovation Community on Climate Change at the headquarters of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology in Budapest, he was the initiator of various social projects.
Before joining Deloitte Hungary as Senior Manager, Ákos Lukács worked for four years for the Hungarian Government as an expert on domestic and international climate change. In the second and third trading phases of the ETS he was responsible for the sale of emission allowances. Thanks to its commitment, Hungary became the first EU member state to implement the Paris Climate Agreement in 2016.
Since 2016, the team for sustainability and climate protection at Deloitte Hungary has benefited from its expertise. Thanks to his expertise, we can offer our customers even more efficient solutions for their entrepreneurial activities in the field of environmental management, sustainability and climate protection.
