Deloitte appoints Valerie Heng as Director in its Treasury Advisory practice to support its expansion in Southeast Asia
SINGAPORE, 30 May 2022 – Deloitte today announced the addition of a senior hire in Singapore to its Treasury Advisory practice in Southeast Asia. Valerie Heng, who previously led Lenovo’s Global Treasury Operations across Asia Pacific, will join Deloitte as a Director and lead for their advisory services to corporate clients in Southeast Asia.
François-Dominique Doll, Partner and Deloitte Global Treasury Advisory Southeast Asia Leader shared, “The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the need for corporates in Southeast Asia to transform their treasury operations and centralise their cash and liquidity management. Working with virtual teams and facing external challenges like rising interest rates and currency volatility, the need for external advisory services to strengthen core processes and governance is vital to manage financial risks. Treasury is a dynamic field, and we look forward to work with corporates to help them define the future of treasury.”
“We are delighted to welcome Valerie to the team. In addition to her comprehensive experience and deep industry knowledge, she has a strong client focus, making her an ideal leader as we build on the success and growth of our Treasury Advisory business,” added Francois.
Valerie brings over 20 years of Global Treasury Management experience with track records of setting up centralised treasury operations overseeing cash management and treasury back-office activities with Lenovo, Menlo Worldwide and Cargill. Prior to joining Deloitte, she headed the Global Treasury Operations for Lenovo across Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and the Americas region, navigating a complex regulatory environment to centralise cash across multiple countries.
