Ger Butler - Director Infrastructure & Capital Projects

Ger is a Director in Deloitte’s Infrastructure and Capital Projects Corporate Finance Advisory team. He advises clients on Irish and international infrastructure projects.

Ger joined Deloitte in 2017 from another Big 4 Professional Services firm where he originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant and spent sixteen of the previous twenty years, including over a decade as Corporate Finance Director advising on a range of transactions, including project finance deals and PPPs. Ger has led financial advisory engagements for public and private sector clients across project finance (including PPP) transactions, fundraisings, financial modelling, strategic reviews and M&A activity. He has led public procurements and advised on financing and structuring of transactions across a range of sectors including transport, energy, health & social infrastructure and property. In addition to his Financial Advisory experience, Ger previously held roles in industry with ESB International and KBC Bank on the development, structuring and financing of energy sector projects. He is a member of both the Transport & Infrastructure Council and the Environment Policy Committee at IBEC.
