Always the move in the right direction!
Deloitte has announced the creation of 200 graduate positions, as well as 30 experienced jobs, in its Irish business. The jobs will be across a range of disciplines including audit, tax, consulting, corporate finance and enterprise risk services. Applications for the graduate positions can be submitted to www.deloitte.com/ie/graduate and for the experienced positions at www.deloitte.com/ie/careers.

The opportunities for graduates are available across a number of different disciplines including audit, tax, consulting, corporate finance and enterprise risk services and will be available in the Dublin, Cork and Limerick offices. Graduates can start in Autumn 2014 or, in the case where students elect to complete a postgraduate course, Autumn 2015. Applications are being encouraged from students of all academic disciplines, not only those with accountancy and business backgrounds.

The positions for experienced professionals are also available across the firm. In particular Deloitte is interested in hearing from talented professionals in the technology consulting, information security and forensics areas, reflecting the continued growth in demand for these services.

Commenting on the opportunities Brendan Jennings, Managing Partner, Deloitte said:

“We’re offering graduates a chance to work in a dynamic environment which has innovation, client service, learning and career development at its heart. We offer them a chance to work across many sectors including financial services, consumer business, real estate and infrastructure, technology, media and telecommunications, energy, and the public sector. Furthermore successful applicants will receive top class training as they look to obtain their professional qualification and the opportunity to work with some of Ireland’s most prestigious companies.

“We are also delighted to be recruiting a further 30 experienced professionals. Over the last number of years there has been a heightened focus by clients on the efficiencies and benefits that technology can bring to their organisation, and indeed the need for vigilance and thoroughness with regards to protecting their organisations’ information. Due to strong growth in these areas, amongst others, we are now looking to strengthen and expand our team.”

Career development is a major focus at Deloitte Ireland. Dedicated and bespoke training and development programmes are offered at every stage of a person’s career.

Orla Graham, Head of HR, Deloitte commented:

“At Deloitte, we have a high performance culture which supports, develops and rewards excellent performance from our people. Our goal is to provide people with a distinctive experience where they can develop personally and professionally. We ensure our people have access to best in class development programmes, coupled with ‘on the job’ experience to help them excel in their roles. We pride ourselves on developing our people and their success translates into providing the best service and becoming trusted advisors for our clients.”

Deloitte is the largest privately held professional services organisation in the world based on headcount and breadth of capability. In Ireland, Deloitte was voted Ireland’s most popular graduate recruiter in the accountancy and professional services sector at the gradireland Graduate Recruitment Awards 2013. The firm is also consistently recognised locally and internationally as a leading place to develop a career in professional services.
