2021 Transparency Report

As leaders in professional services, Deloitte makes an impact that matters - for clients, for our people, for society, and for our planet. Fundamental to achieving this is the quality of our processes - from internal controls, risk management and governance to independence and ethics. Furthermore, responding to continuous challenges and developments, both in our external environment and in key areas inherent to our business, requires total commitment to our core values of maintaining quality, the development of innovative solutions, and the recruitment and development of people of the highest standard from diverse backgrounds to meet our clients’ needs.

We are pleased to share the Transparency Report for the year ended 31 May 2021. This report outlines the continued commitment we have to our values and how we practice them on a daily basis. It is an important element of our communication with regulators, investors, audit committees and other stakeholders. The year ended like no other with many key developments at the forefront of auditor’s role: a global pandemic, climate challenges, new ethical and auditing standards, and BREXIT to name a few. This had a fundamental impact on our people and our society and brought unprecedented changes to how we approached our audits and fulfilled our public interest responsibilities. The report outlines the key challenges faced and how we collectively responded to them.
