Harry Goddard
CEO
Harry Goddard became CEO of Deloitte Ireland in June 2019. Prior to that he had been Head of Consulting since 2015. Harry has worked in the professional services and consulting industries for more than 20 years. He has a vast breadth of experience, working across multiple industries, with a particular focus on the public sector and financial services sectors. Harry’s client service experience is largely focused on leading significant technology rich transformation programmes at national public sector and retail financial services clients. His background is in technology, and in particular in the area of systems integration. Harry serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Emmanuel Adeleke
Partner, Consulting
Emmanuel (Manny) Adeleke is a partner in Consulting, leading the delivery of AI and Data services across Ireland. In this role, he is responsible for leading, scaling, and delivering Deloitte’s offerings and services to drive impact for our clients across all sectors and industries. Emmanuel is highly experienced in the end-to-end delivery of insights-led change and transformation programmes, having played a lead role across some of Ireland’s most high-profile programmes over the last few years. His experiences span strategy development, delivery of digital and data analytics solutions / programmes, operating model and change management.
He is a Business Information Systems graduate from University College Cork and holds a number of industry accreditations across data, cloud and technology domains. He is also a board member of the Analytics Institute Ireland. Emmanuel is very passionate about diversity, inclusion and equity having sponsored and led a number of initiatives both in the workplace and wider society.
Peter Allen
Partner, Financial Advisory
Peter leads the Financial Advisory practice in Belfast and has more than 15 years’ experience advising a wide range of performing and distressed businesses across all key sectors in Northern Ireland. An expert in restructuring and refinancing, Peter has led some of the largest multi-bank deals in Northern Ireland. A Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, Peter also sits on the advisory boards of a number of charitable and voluntary organisations in Northern Ireland.
Ruairí Allen
Partner, Technology Consulting
Ruairí is a Partner in our Technology Consulting practice in Ireland. He has over fifteen years experience and has a lead role in the Irish Systems Integration solution area. Ruairí has deep experience as a Technology Advisor and Delivery Manager in both the Public Sector and Financial Services. He specialises in enterprise technology strategy and change programs. Ruairí's current focus is in the Public Sector and he has worked with national and local government in Ireland and has advised a broad range of public sector organisations in technology change and transformation.
James Anderson
Partner, Restructuring Services
James is a partner in Financial Advisory within the Restructuring Services team.
James has in excess of 15 years professional experience advising on restructuring and insolvency engagements across all industries. He has both advised and acted for corporates and financial institutions on a wide variety of restructuring matters.
James holds a Bachelor in Business Studies and is a fellow of the Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Pieter Burger
Partner, Tax
Pieter is a Partner in the Financial Services Tax department of Deloitte Ireland and currently leads the Irish firm’s Aircraft Leasing & Finance Group. Pieter advises on international corporation tax and Irish domestic tax matters, including aviation finance, banking, corporate treasury and structured finance. He is a qualified lawyer and Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. He also currently serves on the committee of the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers, represents Deloitte Ireland at the Irish Debt Securities Association and is a lecturer on the Irish Taxation Institute’s Certificate in Leasing Taxation programme.
Billy Burke

Billy is tax partner in our Global Employer Services division. Billy has over 20 years’ experience working with clients across all business spectrums providing advice on employment tax, social security, pension matters, executive remuneration including share schemes, M&A and global mobility issues. He also has experience in advising on construction industry tax and estate tax matters. Billy is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Irish Taxation Institute.

Kevin Butler

Kevin is a partner in our Audit & Assurance practice and is based in our Cork office. Kevin has over 11 years’ experience in professional services and he primarily works with both large corporate organisations and fast growing private companies across a range of industries including energy, manufacturing, agribusiness and shared services. Kevin has substantial experience of supporting companies with complex accounting matters under various financial reporting frameworks particularly IFRS.
Michelle Byrne
Partner, Audit & Assurance
Michelle is a partner in Audit & Assurance leading our Financial Reporting Advisory team. She currently advises clients on key accounting matters and has significant experience managing specialist advisory projects under IFRS, Irish GAAP and U.S. GAAP. She supports clients to stay ahead of financial reporting requirements and challenges faced by businesses today. Recently, these financial reporting challenges have arisen due to the increased complexity in financial reporting standards (including IFRS-IC/IASB updates); the increased focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and the related impact on financial reporting; and the financial reporting challenges due to acquisitions, mergers or divestitures.
Michelle serves a broad range of clients, both multi-nationals and Irish indigenous in the technology, telecommunications, and consumer business sectors. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Accounting from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Yvonne Byrne

Yvonne leads the Customer Transformation practice within Deloitte, specialising in Customer experience analysis and design, channel strategy and management, sales and service transformation and new proposition development. She has 14 years within the UK Financial Services and consulting industry, having previously worked with the Royal Bank of Scotland, Tesco Bank and KPMG UK. Yvonne has extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Experience, product management, customer and channel strategy and new proposition development.
Fergal Cahill

Deirdre Carwood
Forensic Partner
Deirdre is a senior forensic accountant with over 20 years’ experience in developing and leading financial crime solutions in the areas of investigations, anti-bribery and corruption, KYC, fraud risk management and data analytics. Deirdre has led some of the largest high profile investigations and examples of recent work include; 1000+ asset tracing investigations for Irish and UK financial institutions and NAMA, including verification investigations for loan book sales to international funds; 500+ third party due diligence investigations for international and domestic clients in consumables, construction, pharma, IT and aviation sectors; Led a team of 50+ on an AML remediation projects for an Irish financial institutions; Provision of Protected Disclosure hotlines and other “whistleblowing” mediums to Irish clients; Led the investigation of fraudulent financial reporting in a number of international hotel groups, pharmaceutical companies, retail companies and public sector bodies; Undertook a number of fraudulent preference investigations under Section 251 of the Companies Act 1990; Assisted the liquidators on an Irish bank in the recovery of material assets from international jurisdictions; Assists Irish financial institutions with Independent Business Reviews for domestic clients in the property development and construction sectors. Gerard Casey

Gerard is a partner in charge of the Galway region, with 13 years’ experience serving multinational, Irish listed and Irish indigenous entities. He has a particular focus in the food and beverage, technology and exploration and mining sectors. He has significant experience in a range of financial reporting frameworks including IFRS, Irish GAAP, US GAAP and new Irish GAAP (FRS 101/102). He has advised a number of companies in relation to Sarbanes - Oxley readiness and attestation.
David Conway

David is a partner in our Technology Integration practice. He has over fifteen years experience and leads the Irish Deloitte Digital solution area. Pádraig has been a Partner for over 18 years and has over 25 years of corporate tax experience advising on a wide range of global tax issues. He specialises in advising multinationals, high growth Irish companies and private equity houses on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate tax matters.
Anya Cummins

Anya is the Head of Deloitte Private and a Partner within Deloitte's M&A Advisory team based in Dublin. Anya has over 15 years’ experience advising corporates on buy-side and sell-side transactions. Anya advises on deals across a range of sectors, some of her most recent transactions have included; advisor to the shareholders of Rothco on the acquisition of the business by Accenture, the sale of Voxpro to Telus International, advising on One51 plc’s acquisition of Macro Plastics Inc., lead advisory to Sovereign Capital (a British PE fund) on their investment in Irish insurance broker Arachas Corporate Brokers and advice to the Hogan family on the sale of their cooked meat business to O’Brien Fine Foods. Anya serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
David Dalton

David Dalton is a Consulting Partner and the Deloitte Financial Services industry leader in Ireland. He focuses on Asset Management and Asset Servicing and is the IM global consulting lead. David co-leads the EMEA Grid Blockchain Lab. David has over 25 years of strategy and business consulting experience. David’s professional experience is focused on business strategy development, operating model design and large scale transformation programmes. David’s client experience includes BNY Mellon, HSBC, BBH, Bank of Ireland, Citi, Bank of America, US Bancorp, State Street and AIB. He is a member of the Irish Government’s Industry Advisory Council for International Financial Services. David serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Valerie Daunt

Valarie leads the Human Capital practice in Ireland. She has spent over 15 years delivering human capital solutions to clients in both public and private sectors both as a practitioner in the role of HRD with an international bank and as a Consultant. She has responsibility for the provision of advisory services to a broad range of the firm’s national and international clients and specialises in advising both private and public companies on all aspects of Human Capital.
John Doddy

John is a partner and Head of Debt and Capital Advisory at Deloitte Ireland. He is also a member of the board of the firm. John has over 20 years financial services experience including 10 years spent in corporate banking and mezzanine finance. Since joining Deloitte in 2010 John has acted as company side advisor to many mid and large corporates on raising new senior, unitranche and subordinated debt from Irish and International Banks to Alternative Lenders.
Matthew Dolan

Matthew is a partner in the Financial Services Tax department. Matthew has spent his career advising clients in the financial services industry with a particular focus on aircraft leasing, securitisation, asset management and private equity clients. Matthew regularly advises on cross border leasing transactions, the establishment of securitisation platforms, M&A tax structuring and due diligence. Matthew is a member of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies – Ireland Tax Committee (South).
Heather Doolin

Heather is a partner in Audit & Assurance. She has over 15 years' experience providing audit and advisory services across the consumer business and financial services industries. The focus of her career to date has been large global audits. Heather is experienced in dealing with complex accounting under both US GAAP and IFRS, SOX requirements, and SEC reporting matters. Heather spent a number of years with Deloitte in Bermuda before returning to Ireland in 2016.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Master’s Degree in Accountancy from University College Dublin, and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Claire is a partner in Consulting, with Deloitte Digital. With 17 years’ experience as an experience designer and design strategist, Claire leads the Design and Experience teams at Deloitte Digital, Dublin. With a focus on customer-led digital transformations, Claire supports clients to develop a razor-sharp focus on their customers, generating insights and experiences that fuel market performance. A multi-award-winning expert, Claire has deep domain and industry experience that she leverages to join the dots between business, technology and design.
Claire has previously led digital transformations for clients including Kingspan, Google, Bank of Ireland, the Department of Social Protection, the Courts Service and the Revenue Commissioners. Claire currently sits on the board of directors of the National College of Art and Design, guest lectures in the UK and Ireland and speaks at conferences both locally and internationally.
Brian Fennelly

Brian is a partner in Deloitte's Debt & Capital Advisory team and specialises in advising SMEs, large corporates, publicly listed companies, private equity sponsors and co-operatives on capital structure and on raising debt funding for growth, acquisitions, working capital and other borrower objectives. Prior to Deloitte, Brian worked for 16+ years in the Irish and international banking industry, with a number of leading financial institutions. Brian has a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from DCU, is an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Member of the Institute of Bankers and the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers.
Ronan Ferry
Partner, Tax Management Consulting
Ronan leads our Irish Tax Management Consulting (TMC) practice advising large and emerging multinational companies in transforming tax function operations with a particular focus on implementing efficient processes and adopting new technologies, ranging from ERP systems to automation and analytic tools. Ronan brings over 16 years of experience having worked in Dublin, New York and San Francisco and brings a broad perspective to clients using his experience in providing tax advice to companies on multinational structuring and compliance projects and leading large operational transfer pricing projects. Ronan will be an integral part of Deloitte’s Global TMC network, which helps clients transform their tax processes, technology and data, bringing efficiency and value to tax departments thus allowing tax departments bring value to their business.
Róisín Fitzpatrick

Róisín is a partner and qualified solicitor in Tax & Legal, where she is the Immigration Leader for Ireland. She has represented a large selection of global firms, including many Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller businesses and private clients.
Róisín has supported her clients across all sectors, advising on immigration workforce planning, immigration technology and regulatory advisory. She has been playing a pivotal role to Irish immigration policy perspective through strategic relationships. Her previous work in London in Irish corporate immigration during Brexit strengthened her policy and advisory experience. She delivers pro-active, practical and technology focused solutions to immigration when supporting her clients. She has also been greatly involved in the corporate responsibility programme in Deloitte.
Róisín holds a first class Bachelor of Civil Law and is a participant of the Washington Ireland Programme where she interned at the Law Library of Congress, Washington DC.
Jan Fitzell

Jan is as a partner in Deloitte’s Financial Advisory unit based in Dublin. Jan helps to lead the firm’s M&A Services offering and specialises in providing advice on acquisitions, disposals and capital raising. Prior to joining Deloitte, Jan was a Director with IBI Corporate Finance where, during his 14 year tenure, he advised companies on their acquisition, disposal and capital raising strategies. Jan advises businesses across sectors and has strong experience of dealing with some of Ireland’s leading companies, helping them to achieve their growth objectives. Before joining IBI, Jan qualified as a chartered accountant with another Big 4 professional services firm.
Alan Flanagan

Alan is a consulting partner based in the Dublin office with over twenty years of experience specialising in the area of financial management and transformation. Alan is a member of our EMEA Finance Transformation Leadership Team. Prior to joining Deloitte in 1998, Alan worked in industry for Diageo plc in a variety of finance function roles across the group. Alan has successfully completed numerous finance projects for multinational corporations, indigenous plcs and large private companies.
Michael Flynn

Michael is a Financial Advisory partner and leads Deloitte Ireland’s debt advisory practice focusing on real estate and infrastructure financing. He is the Global Financial Advisory Public Sector Leader and the Infrastructure & Capital Projects EMEA Leader. Michael is also Head of Energy, Resources & Industrials for Deloitte Ireland and the China Services Group Ireland Leader. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the firm. Michael specialises in advising public, private and banking clients on debt raising, restructuring, and refinancing for both project finance and corporate debt transactions including the development of government and infrastructure assets, real estate, energy and renewable energy assets in Ireland and internationally. Michael is a member of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) PPP Business Advisory Board and the International Project Finance Association (IPFA) Ireland Council member.
Matthew Foley

Matthew is also a member of the FS audit leadership team and leads the FS business practice sub-group which focus on utilisation, implementation of the efficiency agenda and business operations.
Colin Forbes

Colin has in-depth experience in the provision of personal tax services to multinationals and Irish indigenous companies with mobile workforces and leads he co-ordination of expatriate tax services to multinational clients across the EMEA region and globally. Colin also advises clients on the implementation of technology solutions to help manage globally mobile workforces from an employment tax pespective. Colin has significant experience in the provision of employment tax advice to employers.
Brian Forrester

Brian is a partner in Deloitte’s Financial Services audit division and leads the Investment Management sector. Brian joined Deloitte in 2007 and has over 25 years’ experience, both in Ireland and internationally. He is a Chartered Accountant and the previous Chair of Irish Funds, Ireland’s representative body for Investment Management, having been elected in 2018. Brian is also leading Deloitte’s EMEA Hedge Fund practice.
Karen Frawley

Karen is a partner in the firm’s Tax practice and a member of the firm’s international tax group. She has over 17 years’ experience advising multinational groups investing in Ireland and Irish-based groups on outward investments. She has significant expertise in the area of corporate group reorganisations, the due diligence process, and tax efficient Intellectual Property structures. Karen specialises in business model optimisation advisory and M&A for multinational groups. Karen is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. She is a Council Member of the Irish Taxation Institute. Karen is also the Clients & Industries partner for the firm and serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Daniel Gaffney

Daniel is a Consulting partner working in the firm’s Financial Services industry group, specialising in the provision of finance transformation services to clients in the banking and insurance sectors. Daniel has spent his career working with CFOs and business leaders on transformation programmes including business strategy alignment, target operating model definition, cost reduction and business process and technology transformation.
Noel Garvey
Partner, Audit & Assurance
Noel is a partner in Deloitte Ireland's Actuarial Practice and provides advisory support to numerous clients including actuarial and risk transformation, capital and solvency, model governance, pricing, data quality and regulatory compliance. Noel has more than 25 years’ experience across the direct, reinsurance and consulting sectors and has acted as the Pre-Approval Controlled Function Head of Actuarial Function for some of the largest non-life entities regulated in Ireland. He is also the Peer Review Actuary to several of the most senior non-life actuaries in the Irish market and has reported to the High Court of Ireland for a number of the largest non-life insurance portfolio transfers in the Irish Market.
Niamh Geraghty

Niamh is an Audit & Assurance partner working in the Financial Services industry group. She specialises in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the investment management and structured finance sectors. Niamh has wide ranging experience in risk, accounting, advisory and audit services, garnered from working with both Irish domiciled companies as well as large multinational entities. Niamh holds Masters of Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce (International with French) degrees from UCD, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Niamh is the People and Purpose partner for the firm and also serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Glenn Gillard

Glenn is a partner in Deloitte's Financial Services Audit group and leads the firm's offerings in the insurance area. Glenn has extensive experience working with domestic, cross-border and international insurers. His experience includes areas such as external audit, internal audit and controls assurance, regulatory projects and licence applications. With audit quality at the centre of our culture, Glenn also leads our audit quality initiative which focuses on further enhancing audit quality and shaping the future of the audit professions. Glenn is an elected Council member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and sits on the Representation and Technical committee of CAI. Niall Glynn

Niall is a partner in Deloitte Private advising private domestic businesses, private companies and high net worth individuals on a range of taxation issues. He has extensive experience dealing with family business succession, tax efficient investment structures, corporate reorganisations, property transactions and tax matters surrounding privately held wealth. He is a former examiner and lecturer of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Peter Glynn

Peter is a partner in Consulting with a particular focus on the Telecom’s, Media and Technology Industry (TMT). Peter has a degree in Computer Engineering from Dublin’s Trinity College and has 18 years’ experience in the TMT industry. Peter has helped large scale enterprises deliver on sales and market making activities across a number of large scale system integration, application services and outsourcing projects that had significant transformational business cases. Peter also has extensive experience with software and platform clients; managing and growing them from the ground up resulting in them becoming major accounts. Peter has domain experience in digital, platforms, and operations. His experience includes Google technology stack experience on both the Advertiser (DoubleClick, Adwords) & Enterprise (Google Cloud Platform), industry experience in platforms and digital with experience in go-to market engagements with the next generation enterprise software platforms, as well as , digital operations, O2C, F&A, supply chain logistics, tele and inside sales, technical and customer support
Karen Goggin

Karen is a partner in Audit & Assurance. She works primarily with large corporate, multinational, public interest entities and PCAOB clients. She has wide range of experience in external audit across a variety of industries. During her time with Deloitte, Karen has gained knowledge through providing assistance to clients in relation to audit, internal control and assurance assignments. She has extensive experience in FRS 101, FRS 102, IFRS, US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley. She works with a range of clients including clients in the food and beverage, educational and technology sectors.
Karen holds a first-class honours Bachelor of Commerce from University College Cork and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Darren Griffin

Darren is an Audit & Assurance partner working in the Financial Services industry group. He has over 12 years’ experience specialising in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the investment management industry. Darren has experience in numerous areas including risk, accounting, advisory, and audit services, and provides advice to investment management funds and their service providers. Darren holds a Master’s in Accounting degree from DCU, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Lorraine Griffin

Lorraine leads our Tax team and is current Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce Tax Policy Group. She has worked and advised on a range of significant M&A transactions in recent years, both on the buy and sell side. She also advises a broad range of indigenous Irish companies, private equity houses and multinational companies covering a wide variety of tax issues (both Irish and international). Lorraine serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Daryl Hanberry

Daryl is a Partner within our Tax department with almost 15 years’ experience with Deloitte. Daryl is Deloitte Ireland's Technology, Media & Telecommunications lead as well as Head of our Global Employer Services team in Ireland. Daryl deals with the provision of services to clients across a broad range of industries, including the consumer business, manufacturing and technology sectors. He has significant Global Employer Services experience in the area tax efficient methods of remunerating senior executives and staff as well as advising on employment tax, mergers & acquisitions, and international mobility issues. Daryl also has International Tax experience focusing on multinational companies appropriately structuring US investment into Ireland. Daryl has previously spent time with Deloitte in both the UK and the US.
Michael Hartwell

Michael leads Deloitte Ireland’s Audit & Assurance practice. He has responsibility for the provision of professional services to a broad range of the firm’s major national and international clients and specialises in advising companies (both public and private) on finance, governance matters and the provision of audit services. Michael previously led Deloitte’s multidisciplinary investment management team which provided audit, tax, consulting and regulatory advice to all aspects of the investment management industry and has assisted a number of international financial institutions on various special assignments including, accounting investigations, risk and regulatory compliance reviews. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Eileen Healy

Eileen is the Life Sciences partner lead in the Irish firm’s Risk Advisory practice. Eileen has over 20 years’ experience in the provision of risk, compliance and audit related services. Eileen also works on compliance monitoring for adherence to national and international regulations relating to interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), and patient organisations as well as promotional activity and anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) programmes.

He is highly regarded within the tax profession as a deep technical specialist, his extensive experience includes having authored and co-authored leading texts on matters such as the Irish tax impact of IFRS, certain financial services transactions and Ireland’s general anti-avoidance rule. He is also the current author of “Irish Income Tax”, which is recognised as the most authoritative commentary on income tax in this country and which is used regularly by tax advisers, accountants, lawyers, judges and others in the tax profession.

Vinny was previously the author of VAT on Property Irealnd’s leading publication on VAT related property issues. He was listed as one of the UK’s leading VAT advisers in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 by the International Tax Review.
Suzanne McDonald

Suzanne McDonald is a consulting partner with responsibility for the healthcare portfolio at Deloitte in Ireland. As a member of the Consulting team Suzanne focusses on providing health and social care clients with a range of services including strategy, operational improvement, financial management, workforce planning, data and health technology.
Suzanne has over 25 years’ experience of working in the health sector – her experience includes social care, both public and private healthcare, healthcare regulation and public health. She leads a Deloitte team that specialises in health activation – new facilities and new innovative pathways for integrated care. Her experience includes 15 years’ working as a regulator, where she engaged with national and international bodies such as the Department of Health, the European Medicines Agency and the World Health Organisation (WHO). Over the past two years she has managed the national programme for high-throughput clinical diagnostics as part of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic response.
As an experienced Board member within a range of sectors including NGO, telecommunications, and higher education Suzanne also supports clients on governance matters. As both an electronic engineer and a chartered accountant, Cathal brings a unique dual skill set to assist Ireland’s globally recognised information and communications technology sector.

Kevin Norton

Kevin is a partner in our Irish transfer pricing team, with over fifteen years’ experience. He has worked in Dublin, London and Barcelona across a range of industries and transfer pricing issues.
Kevin supports Irish and foreign owned multinational groups with business model design, the implementation of transfer pricing policies and their documentation.
Kevin also has significant experience of helping clients with transfer pricing audits and resulting dispute resolution in Ireland and overseas. He works too with clients applying for advance pricing agreements.
Richard Nunan

Richard Nunan is a Partner in our cloud engineering team and is the lead Partner for our AWS alliance. In June 2020, Richard joined Deloitte as part of the acquisition of DNM, an international consultancy. Under his business leadership DNM achieved a number of important alliance partner certifications from Amazon including Premier Partner and Next Generation Managed Services Partner.
He has developed a large set of customers building relationships with C-Suite, senior management and key client stakeholders in industries such as Aviation, Telecommunications, Public Sector, and Insurance.
He specialises in Data, Analytics and Cloud. Richard is a graduate of Maynooth University and is secretary of Irish Mountain Running Association (IMRA).

Emer O'Shaughnessy

Emer is a partner in our Consumer and Technology Business department with over 12 years’ experience serving mainly plc and large corporate clients, including multinationals. She deals with a wide variety of accounting frameworks including IFRS, Irish GAAP, US GAAP and new Irish GAAP (FRS 101/102) and industries including food and beverage, life sciences and telecommunications. Emer is an experienced coordinator of international audits, both inward and outbound.
John Perry

John is a partner in Tax & Legal and is Head of Business Process Solutions (BPS) for Deloitte Ireland LLP, a member of Deloitte's EMEA BPS executive and a member of the Global BPS Client and Industries group. He is also a member of Deloitte's global aviation group. With over 20 years of experience, he has participated in the committees of numerous industry bodies including Irish Funds and the Irish Debt Securities Association and he is a member of ISTAT.
John is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, a Chartered Tax Adviser and has been awarded a MSc in Aviation Finance from University College Dublin’s Graduate Business School. Deirdre is a Financial Services Tax partner and is Head of the Financial Services Tax Group of Deloitte in Ireland and across EMEA. She is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in advising financial services clients in the areas of investment management and funds, leasing, banking, securitisation and structured finance. She was previously Chairman of Irish Funds and is currently a member of the Irish Funds Tax Steering Group. She is the current Chairperson of the Deloitte Ireland Partnership Council. Deirdre is also the Corporate Responsibility parter for the firm. She is recognised by International Tax Review as one of the leading female Tax Advisors in Ireland.
Ian Prenty

Ian is a partner in Tax & Legal, in the Global Employer Services (GES) division. He has over 16 years' experience in advising clients on tax issues arising in respect of globally mobile employees, domestic employment tax issues, and compensation and benefits issues. He has advised multinational and indigenous Irish companies across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on consumer business and technology, media and telecoms.

Martin Reilly

Martin is a partner who leads our Financial Advisory team. He has many years’ experience in advising on complex transactions, predominantly in the banking and structured finance market. In recent years he has focused on delivering a range of transaction related to both corporate and banking clients. Martin has acted as a sell side advisor on a number of portfolio loan sale transactions and carried out numerous buy side due diligence and advisory mandates for corporates making acquisitions both in Ireland and overseas. Martin serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
David Reynolds
Partner, Consulting
David is a Partner in Deloitte's Consulting practice and is lead Consulting Partner for Financial Services. He is responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of the full breadth of Consulting services to our Financial Services clients. With over 20 years of providing consulting services, he has spent his career working with a wide range of domestic and international corporations, predominantly in the banking sector. Prior to this, his role was largely focused on large scale transformational change initiatives, including regulatory execution, channel transformation, operational excellence (including Strategic Cost Reduction) and outsourcing.
Outside of Deloitte, David is Chair of Maynooth University School of Business Industry Advisory Council.
Marc Rogers

Marc is a partner within Deloitte Financial Advisory. He is primarily focused on Transactions Services providing buy side and sell side due diligence services and assisting clients with capital markets processes (IPOs, Capital Raisings and Debt Listings). Marc has over 18 years’ experience specialising in due diligence and business reviews assignments in respect of corporate acquisitions, disposals and restructurings. He is a highly skilled transaction services professional who has led on a large number of high profile and complex vendor and buyer due diligence projects across a range of sectors, acting for banks, funds, plcs and large private clients on a range of projects. Jamie Schmidt

Jamie is the Head of Life Sciences & Health Care at Deloitte Ireland as well as a Partner within the Audit & Assurance team. While a New Zealander by birth Jamie has spent time working in the US, UK and Switzerland over his 27 years with the firm before arriving in Ireland in 2018. He is a licenced audit expert in Switzerland and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland and New Zealand. In addition to his auditor duties Jamie has worked in regulatory economics, transaction services, audit advisory and finance transformations. This diverse experience has provided Jamie with a great understanding of how a company operate and what can make the difference. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
David Shanahan

David Shanahan is a corporate Tax partner and works with companies across a range of industries, particularly life science, technology, energy and consumer products. He spent 2 years leading Deloitte’s Irish Tax Desk in New York and now specializes in working with Irish groups on all aspects of tax including M&A, foreign expansion, group reorganizations and cross-border tax planning.
Kevin Sheehan

Kevin has more than 23 years audit and advisory experience primarily in Consumer and Industrial Products Industries including manufacturing, retail and distribution. He also works with clients in the travel and tourism sectors, including hotel operators, bloodstock, racing groups and tour operators. Kevin’s clients include listed Plc’s, state owned companies, private companies and not-for-profit entities. Kevin is the Finance Partner for the Irish firm, is a member of the firm’s leadership team and serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Michael Sheehan

James Smyth

James is a partner in Tax, where he advises a range of large Irish headquartered businesses with an international footprint. He has significant corporate and international tax advisory experience across a number of areas, including M&A, business model optimisation, and cross border financing, with a proven track record in leading cross-border teams on a number of high-profile transactions, and global engagements for large clients. He re-joined Deloitte in 2019 having spent two years working in industry.

Sean Smith

Sean is a partner in the Risk Advisory department of Deloitte where he provides risk, compliance and regulatory advisory services to financial and non-financial institutions. Sean has over 16 years’ financial services experience and assists firms with obtaining authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland in addition to providing ongoing conduct and prudential regulatory and compliance support. Sean has particular expertise in assisting firms conduct large scale regulatory remediations. Sean holds a Bachelor of Law degree from UCD, is a qualified solicitor, and also holds an MBA in Regulation and Compliance from Smurfit Business School.

Anlo is a partner in Risk Advisory. She has over 15 years’ experience of the Financial Services sector in internal auditing, controls assurance and external auditing gained through her time in industry and practice. She specialises in SAP transformation programmes and brings over 22 years’ experience in delivering high-quality SAP programmes, both as a consultant and as an industry leader. She is experienced in defining and delivering large-scale ICT projects with a focus on enterprise applications, information management, and reporting. Carol is a leading expert in SAP Finance and provides advice to clients across various industries within the private and public sector. She has extensive experience in the consumer business, life sciences and distribution sectors with a detailed understanding of the associated constraints of regulated environments.

Orlagh has over 20 years' experience working in Banking Operations transformation in the UK and global markets and has delivered regulatory and operations transformation for seven of the top twelve Investment Banks, many Retail and Commercial Banks and one Industry Consortium.

Laura Wadding

Laura has 20 years’ experience in financial services. Prior to joining Deloitte, Laura worked with a large fund administrator for almost 11 years, during which time she managed two functional areas, namely Compliance and Transfer Agency, and lead several company and group wide initiatives within the organisation, including the development of AML policies and procedures, the application of domestic tax reporting requirements and the development and implementation of a FATCA service for reporting financial institutions in several jurisdictions.

Conor Walsh

Conor is a partner in Tax & Legal, and is also engaged by the Irish Tax Institute as an independent contractor. He specialises in the provision of indirect tax services to domestic and multinational organisations, delivering advice to clients on complex indirect tax matters, particularly in the areas of tax audits, tax disputes and tax litigation.
Conor represents the Irish geography of Deloitte North and South Europe in the area of indirect tax litigation and dispute resolution, and has been involved in instructing legal counsel to represent taxpayers’ interests at all levels of the Irish tax appeals system.
He is a member of the Irish Tax Institute and Chartered Institute of Taxation (UK), having completed the Chartered Tax Adviser qualification in both jurisdictions. Conor is also an Associate Chartered Accountant and holds the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation awarded by the Chartered Institute of Taxation, the UK VAT Compliance Diploma awarded by the Association of Taxation Technicians (UK), and a certificate in customs and trade awarded by Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Ian Whitefoot

Ian is a partner in Audit & Assurance and is the Disruptive Events Leader for Deloitte’s North South Europe business. He has 18 years’ experience providing hands-on support to finance organisations, helping them to manage disruption and deliver on priorities derived from M&A or other transformation events. In particular he supports CFOs and their teams to prepare for and execute transactions. In addition, he provides support in addressing the critical integration and separation finance priorities post-deal. He has experience across corporate and private equity M&A deals, private-to-public IPOs and international capital market transactions.
