Brendan is Managing Partner of Deloitte Ireland. He has been a partner with the firm since 1993. Prior to his present position Brendan was National Partner in Charge of Audit Services for the Irish firm with responsibility for the provision of professional services to a range of national and multinational clients. Brendan also headed up the firm's consumer business industry group. Brendan has served on the executive of the firm since 2002 and is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Corporate Finance Partner
Peter leads the Corporate Finance practice in Belfast and has more than 15 years’ experience advising a wide range of performing and distressed businesses across all key sectors in Northern Ireland. An expert in restructuring and refinancing, Peter has led some of the largest multi-bank deals in Northern Ireland. A Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, Peter also sits on the advisory boards of a number of charitable and voluntary organisations in Northern Ireland.
Pascal is a partner and national leader of the indirect taxes group. He has over thirty years of experience and having worked both in the Revenue Commissioners and private practice during his career is uniquely placed to bring insight from both sides of any tax issue. Pascal was listed as one of the worlds leading indirect tax advisors and leaders by International Tax Review in 2013.
Pieter is a Partner in the Financial Services Tax department of Deloitte Ireland and currently leads the Irish firm’s Aircraft Leasing & Finance Group. Pieter advises on international corporation tax and Irish domestic tax matters, including aviation finance, banking, corporate treasury and structured finance. He is a qualified lawyer and Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. He also currently serves on the committee of the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers, represents Deloitte Ireland at the Irish Debt Securities Association and is a lecturer on the Irish Taxation Institute’s Certificate in Leasing Taxation programme.
Billy is tax partner in our Global Employer Services division. Billy has over 20 years’ experience working with clients across all business spectrums providing advice on employment tax, social security, pension matters, executive remuneration including share schemes, M&A and global mobility issues. He also has experience in advising on construction industry tax and estate tax matters.
Declan is a senior Tax Partner with Deloitte in Ireland specialising in International Tax and M&A. He has a focus on US and European inward investment into Ireland. He currently advises a wide range of multinationals / private equity houses in the pharma, technology and financial services industries. Declan is also a member of the board of Deloitte Ireland
Kevin is a partner in our audit practice and is based in our Cork office. Kevin has over 11 years’ experience in professional services and he primarily works with both large corporate organisations and fast growing private companies across a range of industries including energy, manufacturing, agribusiness and shared services. Kevin has substantial experience of supporting companies with complex accounting matters under various financial reporting frameworks particularly IFRS.
David Carson leads the Brexit response team for Deloitte Ireland. David is a corporate finance partner, specialising in forensic, where he provides investigation and dispute services including litigation support and expert witness services. He has extensive experience in corporate restructuring, corporate investigations and M&A. David has been appointed to a number of high profile, complex insolvency and restructuring cases in recent years. He has assisted a number of corporates and senior executives in times of uncertainty and financial crisis.
Gerard is a partner in charge of the Galway region, with 13 years’ experience serving multinational, Irish listed and Irish indigenous entities. He has a particular focus in the food and beverage, technology and exploration and mining sectors. He has significant experience in a range of financial reporting frameworks including IFRS, Irish GAAP, US GAAP and new Irish GAAP (FRS 101/102). He has advised a number of companies in relation to Sarbanes - Oxley readiness and attestation.
Technology Consulting Partner
David Conway is a Partner in our Technology Integration practice. He has over fifteen years experience and leads the Irish Deloitte Digital solution area. David has deep experience as a Technology Advisor and Delivery Manager in both the Financial Services and Public Sector. He specialises in enterprise technology strategy and Digital channel transformation. Prior to this David held leadership roles with Canada Life, Bearing Point and an indigenous mobile technology software company.
Pádraig Cronin is Vice-Chairman of Deloitte Ireland having previously served as Head of Tax for the maximum period of 8 years. He is also M&A Services Leader for the firm and a member of the Board. Pádraig has been a Partner for over 18 years and has over 25 years of corporate tax experience advising on a wide range of global tax issues. He specialises in advising multinationals, high growth Irish companies and private equity houses on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate tax matters.
Partner - Head of M&A
Anya is a partner in M&A Advisory within the Corporate Finance group. Anya leads the M&A Advisory team advising clients on acquisitions, disposals and equity capital raisings. Anya advises on deals across a range of sectors, some of her most recent transactions have included; the sale of Voxpro to Telus International, advising on One51 plc’s acquisition of Macro Plastics Inc., lead advisory to Sovereign Capital (a British PE fund) on their investment in Irish insurance broker Arachas Corporate Brokers and advice to the Hogan family on the sale of their cooked meat business to O’Brien Fine Foods.
Head of Financial Services
David Dalton is a Consulting Partner and is Deloitte’s financial services industry leader in Ireland. He focuses on Asset Management and Asset Servicing and is the IM global consulting lead. David co-leads the EMEA Grid Blockchain Lab. David has over 25 years of strategy and business consulting experience. David’s professional experience is focussed on business strategy development, operating model design and large scale transformation programmes. David’s client experience includes BNY Mellon, HSBC, BBH, Bank of Ireland, Citi, Bank of America, US Bancorp, State Street and AIB. He is a member of the Irish Government’s Industry Advisory Council for International Financial Services.
Valarie Daunt leads the Human Capital practice in Ireland. She has spent over 15 years delivering human capital solutions to clients in both public and private sectors both as a practitioner in the role of HRD with an international bank and as a Consultant. She has responsibility for the provision of advisory services to a broad range of the firm’s national and international clients and specialises in advising both private and public companies on all aspects of Human Capital.
Corporate Finance Partner
John is a Partner and Head of Debt and Capital Advisory, Deloitte Ireland. He is also a member of the board of the firm. John has over 20 years financial services experience including 10 years spent in corporate banking and mezzanine finance. Since joining Deloitte in 2010 John has acted as company side advisor to many mid and large corporates on raising new senior, unitranche and subordinated debt from Irish and International Banks to Alternative Lenders.
Partner Restructuring Services
Ken Fennell is a Partner in Deloitte Corporate Finance in Dublin, Ireland and leads the firms Restructuring Services practice. He joined Deloitte in summer 2014 following a merger of Kavanagh Fennell, where Ken was a senior partner. Ken has over 25 years’ experience advising on restructuring, project management and insolvency matters. In recent years, Ken has acted as Receiver over significant property portfolios on behalf of numerous financial institutions. Such appointments have entailed the successful completion of residential and commercial build-out programmes.
Mergers & Acquisitions
Jan has just joined Deloitte as a partner with Deloitte’s Corporate Finance unit based in Dublin. Jan helps to lead the firm’s M&A Services offering and specialises in providing advice on acquisitions, disposals and capital raising. Prior to joining Deloitte, Jan was a Director with IBI Corporate Finance where, during his 14 year tenure, he advised companies on their acquisition, disposal and capital raising strategies. Jan advises businesses across sectors and has strong experience of dealing with some of Ireland’s leading companies, helping them to achieve their growth objectives. Before joining IBI, Jan qualified as a chartered accountant with another Big 4 professional services firm.
Gerry is Chairman of the Board of Deloitte Ireland and attends meetings of the Public Interest Oversight Committee of the firm in a non-voting capacity. Gerry is a partner within our Audit team and has extensive experience with Boards, Audit Committees and Regulators of listed companies and regulated entities. Gerry has led numerous audits delivering new perspectives and challenge following audit transition and delivering control and process design input. Gerry specialises in corporate governance, audit and risk management services for financial institutions. He is also the sponsor Partner for Corporate Responsibility.
Alan is a consulting partner based in the Dublin office with over twenty years of experience specialising in the area of financial management and transformation. Alan is a member of our EMEA Finance Transformation Leadership Team. Prior to joining Deloitte in 1998, Alan worked in industry for Diageo plc in a variety of finance function roles across the group. Alan has successfully completed numerous finance projects for multinational corporations, indigenous plcs and large private companies.

Michael is a corporate finance partner and leads our debt advisory practice focusing on real estate and infrastructure financing. He is the Global Financial Advisory Public Sector Leader and the Infrastructure & Capital Projects EMEA Leader. Michael is also Head of Energy and Resources for Ireland and the China Services Group Ireland Leader.He specialises in advising public, private and banking clients on debt raising, restructuring and refinancing for both project finance and corporate debt transactions including the development of government and infrastructure assets, real estate, energy and renewable energy assets in Ireland and internationally. Michael is a member of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) PPP Business Advisory Board and the International Project Finance Association (IPFA) Ireland Council member.
Matthew is responsible for the delivery of audit and advisory projects to investment management and life assurance clients of the firm. Matthew is also a member of the FS audit leadership team and leads the FS business practice sub-group which focus on utilisation, implementation of the efficiency agenda and business operations.
Financial Services Partner
Brian joined Deloitte in Ireland as a partner in 2007 and has over 25 years’ experience in Ireland and internationally. Brian acts as audit partner to a number of investment funds, asset managers and their related service providers. Brian is a Chartered Accountant, and currently serves as Vice Chair of Irish Funds; he will assume the role of Chair in May 2018. Brian also leads Deloitte’s EMEA Hedge Fund practice.
Karen is a partner in the firm’s tax practice and a member of the firm’s international tax group. She has over 17 years’ experience advising multinational groups investing in Ireland and Irish-based groups on outward investments. She has significant expertise in the area of corporate group reorganisations, the due diligence process, and tax efficient Intellectual Property structures. Karen specialises in business model optimisation advisory and M&A for multinational groups. Karen is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. She is a Council Member of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Niamh is an audit partner working in the financial services industry group. She specialises in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the investment management and structured finance sectors. Niamh has wide ranging experience in risk, accounting, advisory and audit services, garnered from working with both Irish domiciled companies as well as large multinational entities. Niamh holds Masters of Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce (International with French) degrees from UCD, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Glenn is a partner in Deloitte's financial services audit group and leads the firm's offerings in the insurance area. Glenn has extensive experience working with domestic, cross-border and international insurers. His experience includes areas such as external audit, internal audit and controls assurance, regulatory projects and licence applications. With audit quality at the centre of our culture, Glenn also leads our audit quality initiative which focuses on further enhancing audit quality and shaping the future of the audit professions. Glenn is an elected Council member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and sits on the Representation and Technical committee of CAI.
Niall is a partner in Deloitte Private advising private domestic businesses, private companies and high net worth individuals on a range of taxation issues. He has extensive experience dealing with family business succession, tax efficient investment structures, corporate reorganisations, property transactions and tax matters surrounding privately held wealth. He is a former examiner and lecturer of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Head of Consulting
Harry is head of Consulting for Deloitte Ireland. He has extensive experience leading the implementation of technology rich change programmes in the public sector and retail financial services industry. He has worked with national and local government in Ireland and has advised a broad range of public sector organisations in change and transformation. Harry serves on the Executive Committee of the firm
Darren is an audit partner working in the financial services industry group. He has over 12 years’ experience specialising in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the investment management industry. Darren has experience in numerous areas including risk, accounting, advisory, and audit services, and provides advice to investment management funds and their service providers. Darren holds a Master’s in Accounting degree from DCU, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Tax Partner, Head of Tax
Lorraine leads our Tax team and is current Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce Tax Policy Group. She has worked and advised on a range of significant M&A transactions in recent years, both on the buy and sell side. She also advises a broad range of indigenous Irish companies, private equity houses and multinational companies covering a wide variety of tax issues (both Irish and international). Lorraine serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Tax Partner and Head of Global Employer Services
Daryl is a Partner within our tax department with almost 15 years’ experience with Deloitte. Daryl leads our Global Employer Services team in Ireland. Daryl deals with the provision of services to clients across a broad range of industries, including the consumer business, manufacturing and technology sectors. He has significant Global Employer Services experience in the area tax efficient methods of remunerating senior executives and staff as well as advising on employment tax, mergers & acquisitions, and international mobility issues. Daryl also has International Tax experience focusing on multinational companies appropriately structuring US investment into Ireland. Daryl has previously spent time with Deloitte in both the UK and the US.
Partner and Head of Audit & Assurance
Michael leads Deloitte Ireland’s Audit & Assurance practice. He has responsibility for the provision of professional services to a broad range of the firm’s major national and international clients and specialises in advising companies (both public and private) on finance, governance matters and the provision of audit services. Michael previously led Deloitte’s multidisciplinary investment management team which provided audit, tax, consulting and regulatory advice to all aspects of the investment management industry and has assisted a number of international financial institutions on various special assignments including, accounting investigations, risk and regulatory compliance reviews. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Partner Operational Risk
Eileen is the Life Sciences partner lead in the Irish firm’s Risk Advisory practice. Eileen has over 20 years’ experience in the provision of risk, compliance and audit related services. She leads the delivery of risk, compliance and audit related services to Life Science clients operating in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device sectors. In addition to the provision of risk and internal audit services, Eileen leads the team delivering technical assistance on computerised systems validation (CSV). Eileen also works on compliance monitoring for adherence to national and international regulations relating to interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), and patient organisations as well as promotional activity and anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) programmes.
Vice-Chairman and Consulting Partner
David is EMEA Leader, Consumer and Industrial Products. David has 30 years’ international experience in helping leading clients with business transformation, operational performance and IT. Previously David led Consulting in Ireland for 13 years, building one of Ireland’s largest consultancies. David is currently focused on how technology strategy and digital can add value to leading organisations. David graduated with a Masters in Engineering from University College Dublin, where he contributes to course development and is a guest lecturer. David is a Chartered Engineer and is a Vice-Chairman of Deloitte Ireland.
Petri works as a Partner in the Consulting business with a focus on Technology in the Financial Services sector. He advises clients on the role and purpose of the ICT organisation within their business, and on the use of technology to transform their business. Petri holds a B.Sc in Computer science and M.Sc in strategy and finance from Helsinki School of Economics. In addition he has studied in Stanford (SEP) and INSEAD (COL).
Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications
Richard leads the firm's Technology Media and Telecommuciation group and is lead partner on the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Programme. Richard has advised clients on stock market flotations, group reorganisations and mergers and acquisitions and has written and lectured on IFRS, US GAAP and issues facing tech companies in Ireland. He also sits on the council of the 30% Club, a body which promotes diversity at CXO and Board level and is a member of the Chartered Accountants Ireland Strategic Task Force on Training.
Cormac is lead partner for the firm's strategy & operations and Human Capital Management consulting services. He has worked with Deloitte for 16 years and specialises in operations consulting and business performance improvement. Cormac is an experienced programme manager with a track record of delivering large and complex implementations across industries. Cormac has a BA in Management Science & Information Systems Studies and is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisors.
Conor is a tax partner with Deloitte in Dublin. Conor has more than 18 years of experience advising clients in financial services and international tax. In particular he has advised extensively on transactions in the insurance, banking and leasing sectors. He has provided advice to many clients on inbound and outbound investment, optimising the use of Ireland’s corporate tax rate, tax planning with the aim of maximising tax efficiency and minimising tax cost.

Brian works on audit engagements for Irish and offshore funds and multiple advisory projects locally and internationally. Brian also heads up our audit innovation team which is focused on utilising cutting edge technologies, advanced analytics, and process flow to transform the audit today and in the future.

Tom is a Partner in our restructuring services at Deloitte. Tom is the founding partner of Kavanagh Fennell, a leading Irish specialist insolvency and advisory firm which was acquired by Deloitte in June 2014. As such Tom’s expertise covers a wide range of restructuring services including corporate restructuring; receiverships; advisory; examinerships; liquidations and forensic accounting. for many of Ireland’s leading financial institutions including Bank of Ireland and AIB.
Peter is a partner in the Technology Consulting department, and is a leader of SAP-enabled business transformation programmes. He has spent over 18 years delivering SAP solutions and services to clients in both the public and private sectors. Peter’s experience spans numerous industries including food and beverage, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and life sciences, and technology and telecommunications. In addition to SAP implementation experience he also has in-depth functional knowledge of finance, procurement, sales and logistics. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin.
Louise is a tax partner specialising in corporate and international tax. Louise led Deloitte's Irish desk in New York during 2011 and 2012. She advises multinationals on investment into Ireland and group reorganisations, with a particular focus on companies in the life sciences and technology industries.

David is a partner in the our Risk Advisory practice specialising in the provision of internal audit and risk management services to clients in the financial services, corporate and public sectors. David leads a number of the significant IA co-sourcing engagements and has also lead a number of risk advisory and special engagements for a host of national and international clients.
Ita is a partner in the Technology Consulting business. She has experience leading the implementation of technology rich change programmes in the public sector both locally and in the US. She has worked with national and local government in Ireland and has advised a broad range of public sector organisations in change and transformation.
Audit and Assurance and Risk Advisory
Marguerite is a Partner in our Audit & Assurance and Risk advisory practice. She has responsibility for the provision of professional services to a broad range of the firm’s major national and international clients and specialises in advising public companies and large private companies on finance, governance matters and the provision of audit services.
Donal has over 14 years of experience in providing advisory and consulting services with a particular focus on large scale transformation programmes within the financial services industry. Prior to working in consulting, Donal was a finance manager for six magazines at Conde Nast Publications in New York, and held a number of finance and accounting positions at Aer Lingus in both New York and Dublin. Donal received his MBA (Finance) qualification from Fordham University, New York.
Financial Services Partner
Christian is an audit partner in our financial services practice. He specialises in the investment management sector working with a variety of asset managers and third party service providers. He provides clients with additional advisory services in relation to valuation issues/principles, corporate structures and application of GAAP.
Tom leads the firm’s Tax Policy and Technical Services team. He works closely with our client teams to deliver the insights they need to address their most complex business issues. Tom provides tax advice on a wide range of domestic and international corporation tax matters. He is highly regarded within the tax profession as a deep technical specialist, his extensive experience includes having authored and co-authored leading texts on matters such as the Irish tax impact of IFRS, certain financial services transactions and Ireland’s general anti-avoidance rule. He is also the current author of “Irish Income Tax”, which is recognised as the most authoritative commentary on income tax in this country and which is used regularly by tax advisers, accountants, lawyers, judges and others in the tax profession.
Financial Services Partner
John has over 20 years’ experience in financial services audit and advisory work in Ireland and internationally. His recent experience includes lead audit partner on a local Pillar Bank as well as a number of Irish based asset management and private equity companies as well as IFSC based banks. John is the head of technical accounting for Deloitte Ireland and leads IFRS 9 advisory services for Deloitte Ireland. He specialises in financial instrument valuation, treasury and credit risk. He has worked with large Irish and European companies and banks. This includes work performed on accounting advisory, credit, impairment, restructuring, capital, financial instruments valuation, benchmarking, process and control reviews.
Eimear is a partner in the Financial Services Group of Deloitte in Dublin, specialising in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the insurance sector. Eimear has been with the firm for over 10 years and has wide ranging experience in risk and accounting services. Eimear is an experienced coordinator of both international and domestic engagements, dealing with a variety of accounting frameworks, and is the IFRS 4 Phase II Irish lead for the Deloitte EMEA IFRS 4 group.
Risk Advisory Partner
Colm leads our Risk Advisory practice in Ireland specialising in security risk, regulatory and control assurance and consulting assignments. The Risk Advisory practice provides a large range of assurance and risk assessment projects and is the designated outsourced internal auditor for a number of clients. Colm has been an Authorised Officer for the Central Bank of Ireland and he is currently working for a number of institutions in reaction to Central Bank driven requirements. Colm serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Ann is a Partner in our Consumer & Technology Business Audit department and has experience in the provision of audit and advisory services to a wide range of business sectors including consumer products, energy and logistics. She is responsible for leading and co-ordinating large plc and multinational global group audits. Ann has also worked on advisory projects for our plc and multinational clients, including IFRS transition projects, and accounting advisory support.
Sinéad is a partner in our Audit & Assurance department and also leads our Financial Reporting Advisory team, who provide accounting advice on matters under IFRS, US GAAP and Irish GAAP across all sectors. She serves a portfolio of multinational and Irish indigenous clients across a number of industries including food and ingredients, manufacturing, retail and energy and resources. Sinéad has significant experience in managing specialist assignments including IFRS transition projects, initial stock exchange listings, financial process improvement reviews and advising on Corporate Governance.
Public Sector Lead Partner
Shane leads our public sector industry group and is a Consulting partner based in our Dublin office. He specialises in finance transformation, business model transformation (including shared services and outsourcing advisory), strategy and operations. He has worked with multiple Government Departments and other public bodies in advisory roles, and supporting complex change and transformation programmes. In addition, Shane has worked with many commercial State bodies, multi-national corporations and PLCs. Shane’s is also the Deloitte Ireland Innovation Leader.
Honor is a Partner in our audit practice and is the Partner in charge of our Cork office. She advises clients in a variety of industries, serving both the indigenous and international markets. She has considerable public sector and not for profit experience. Honor also leads our audit talent agenda with relentless focus on enhancing our talent programmes to develop leading professionals of the future. Honor is a member of the Board of our national firm.
Simon leads the Technology Consulting practice in Ireland and is a member of the firm's EMEA technology leadership team. Simon has a particular focus on supporting CIOs in their role through the provision of technology advisory services as well as in leading major technology change programmes that involve integrating a variety of systems and technologies. In addition to being responsible for the Irish technology practice Simon leads the Analytics & Information management and Systems Integration teams in Ireland. His clients include major public and private sector organisations. Simon has been certified by the Open Group as a master IT architect.
Daniel is an Audit & Advisory Partner who leads the firm’s services to private companies including small cap listed entities. He has significant experience working with Irish indigenous, listed and international clients across a broad range of industry sectors and has advised clients on stock market flotations, complex group reorganisations and mergers and acquisitions. He is a senior member of the Irish firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions team with extensive post-acquisition integration expertise. He leads the Irish firm’s “CEO Forum” proposition, in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland. Daniel is an elected member of the Board of the Irish firm.
Partner - Transactions Advisory
Based in Cork, Ronan leads Deloitte’s Munster Corporate Finance team in the province while working closely with and leveraging the specialist expertise of colleagues on an all island basis. With such a collaborative and integrated approach to all projects and transactions, his focus is on delivering a differentiating value add experience for clients in the region. Ronan has over sixteen years Big 4 professional services experience including international secondments to London and New York. He provides a broad range of corporate finance services to clients including M&A, strategy, acquisitions, disposals, management buyouts/buy-ins, capital raising, debt advisory, business modelling, project finance, restructuring, working capital management, independent business reviews and valuation type engagements.
Ciarán is a partner in our Audit & Assurance department. He currently serves a portfolio of clients in the consumer business, energy and technology sectors. Ciarán has substantial IFRS experience, having co-ordinated the audit of the transition from US GAAP and/or Irish GAAP to IFRS for a number of companies. He has detailed knowledge of accounting issues relating to areas such as software revenue recognition, business combinations, complex financial instruments and tax accounting.
Brian is a financial services Partner in our Audit practice. Brian’s financial services experience includes managing the audits of significant clients in the financial services industry. These companies are involved in life assurance, non-life insurance, captive insurance, banking, reinsurance and stock-broking. He joined Deloitte in October 1999. Since that period he has also spent 3 years in Australia working in the insurance and structured finance industry, primarily in Allco Finance Group.
Joan O’Connor is a senior International Tax Partner based in Dublin. Joan has over 25 years of international tax experience in Dublin and London covering a wide range of industries including life sciences, telecoms, technology, media and energy. She works with Irish plcs and inbound multinational clients from the US, UK, Europe and Japan on outbound and inbound transactions including managing and implementing supply chain assignments.
John is a partner in our tax services department and he is based in our Cork office. Emer is a partner in our Consumer and Technology Business department with over 12 years’ experience serving mainly plc and large corporate clients, including multinationals. She deals with a wide variety of accounting frameworks including IFRS, Irish GAAP, US GAAP and new Irish GAAP (FRS 101/102) and industries including food and beverage, life sciences and telecommunications. Emer is an experienced coordinator of international audits, both inward and outbound.
Head of Financial Services Tax
Deirdre is a financial services tax partner and is Head of the Financial Services Tax Group of Deloitte in Ireland and across EMEA. She is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in advising financial services clients in the areas of investment management and funds, leasing, banking, securitisation and structured finance. She was previously Chairman of Irish Funds and is currently a member of the Irish Funds Tax Steering Group. In addition, she is an elected Board member of Deloitte in Ireland and is recognised by International Tax Review as one of the leading female Tax Advisors in Ireland.
Partner - Audit
Ciara Regan leads Deloitte’s Actuarial & Insurance Solutions life practice. She has more than 20 years of experience in the life assurance, reinsurance and consulting industries. Ciara has worked across product development, pricing, reserving, risk management, regulation and compliance. Recent advisory projects include Appointed Actuary peer reviews, Independent Actuary roles, MCEV / IFRS, Solvency II and risk framework reviews.
Head of Corporate Finance
Martin is a partner who leads our Corporate Finance team. He has many years’ experience in advising on complex transactions, predominantly in the banking and structured finance market. In recent years he has focused on delivering a range of transaction related to both corporate and banking clients. Martin has acted as a sell side advisor on a number of portfolio loan sale transactions and carried out numerous buy side due diligence and advisory mandates for corporates making acquisitions both in Ireland and overseas. Martin serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
David is a partner in the firm’s Consulting practice, specialising in banking. David has 15 years’ experience providing consulting services to a wide range of domestic and international corporations, predominantly in the banking and insurance sectors. He has extensive experience in leading and advising on large scale transformational change initiatives, including regulatory execution, channel transformation, operational excellence and outsourcing. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, and a Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from the NUI Maynooth, and is a certified management consultant as well as holding chartered status with the Irish Computer Society.
Glenn leads the Tax practice in Northern Ireland which is involved in all aspects of the tax compliance and advisory work for Deloitte’s corporate and personal clients. He has wide experience gained through advising a variety of private and public sector organisations. His clients include large corporate groups, owner managed businesses and non-departmental public bodies.
Corporate Finance Partner
Marc is a partner within Deloitte Corporate Finance. He is primarily focused on Transactions Services providing buy side and sell side due diligence services and assisting clients with capital markets processes (IPOs, Capital Raisings and Debt Listings).Marc has over 18 years’ experience specialising in due diligence and business reviews assignments in respect of corporate acquisitions, disposals and restructurings. He is a highly skilled transaction services professional who has led on a large number of high profile and complex vendor and buyer due diligence projects across a range of sectors, acting for banks, funds, plcs and large private clients on a range of projects. He also has extensive experience in capital market transactions having acted as the lead on an extensive number of reporting accounting assignments including equity/debt raisings, acquisitions/disposals and IPOs
Audit and Assurance Partner
Jamie is a newly appointed partner within Deloitte Audit and Assurance. While a New Zealander by birth Jamie has spent time working in the US, UK and Switzerland over his 27 years with the firm before arriving in Ireland in 2018. He is a licenced audit expert in Switzerland and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland and New Zealand. In addition to his auditor duties Jamie has worked in regulatory economics, transaction services, audit advisory and finance transformations. This diverse experience has provided Jamie with a great understanding of how a company operate and what can make the difference.
David Shanahan is a corporate tax partner and works with companies across a range of industries, particularly life science, technology, energy and consumer products. He spent 2 years leading Deloitte’s Irish Tax Desk in New York and now specializes in working with Irish groups on all aspects of tax including M&A, foreign expansion, group reorganizations and cross-border tax planning.
Kevin has more than 23 years audit and advisory experience primarily in Consumer and Industrial Products Industries including manufacturing, retail and distribution. He also works with clients in the travel and tourism sectors, including hotel operators, bloodstock, racing groups and tour operators. Kevin’s clients include listed Plc’s, state owned companies, private companies and not-for-profit entities. Kevin is the Finance Partner for the Irish firm and is a member of the firm’s leadership team.

Michael is a corporate finance partner and he leads this service line in our regional offices in Cork and Limerick. However Michael also acted as a lead taxation partner for many years. Michael has extensive experience in M&A, refinancing and corporate reorganisations and restructuring from both a taxation and corporate finance point of view. He delivers services to a very broad range of clients across the technology, distribution, manufacturing, services and property sectors.
Partner Risk Advisory
Sean is a partner in the Risk Advisory department of Deloitte where he provides risk, compliance and regulatory advisory services to financial and non-financial institutions. Sean has over 16 years’ financial services experience and assists firms with obtaining authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland in addition to providing ongoing conduct and prudential regulatory and compliance support. Sean has particular expertise in assisting firms conduct large scale regulatory remediations. Sean holds a Bachelor of Law degree from UCD, is a qualified solicitor, and also holds an MBA in Regulation and Compliance from Smurfit Business School.
Cathal is Partner in charge of the Limerick region. He is a partner in our audit and assurance practice and has significant experience in leading audit and advisory services to both multinational and indigenous organisations. Cathal is the current Vice President of Limerick Chamber. Cathal holds a BBS from the University of Limerick and he is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

David Van Dessel is a partner in our restructuring services at Deloitte. As a Partner of Kavanaghfennell, a leading Irish specialist insolvency and advisory firm which was acquired by Deloitte in June 2014, David brings his considerable expertise in insolvency assignments specialising in examinership, liquidation (solvent & insolvent) and receivership. David has led numerous assignments in the manufacturing, hospitality, financial services and motor sectors.
Niall is an audit partner responsible for the accounting and auditing of pension schemes. Niall is also responsible for the audit technical team and has a range of experience providing audit services to other multinational clients in the technology and services industries.
Joanne is Head of Private Clients and leads the corporate and legal service line in the firm. She has extensive experience advising family business, private companies and individuals on the legal and taxation issues arising on the transfer of wealth to the next generation and related issues. She advises private and corporate clients on a range of other tax and legal issues, with a particular focus on stamp duty issues arising on corporate reorganisations and mergers.

Padraic is a Tax Partner with over 25 years’ experience in Irish Corporate Tax practice, advising on both foreign and domestic tax transactions and solutions to large corporate companies. Padraic also leads Deloitte’s Tax Operations Group.
