Deloitte today announces that four new partners have joined its leadership team. Deirdre Carwood joins as a partner in the Financial Advisory department, Peter Glynn and Suzanne McDonald join the Consulting department, and Caroline O’Driscoll joins as a partner in the Tax department.

Deirdre Carwood

Deirdre is a partner in the Financial Advisory department. She is a senior forensic accountant with over 20 years’ experience in developing and leading financial crime solutions in the areas of fraud investigations, bribery, corruption and money laundering. Deirdre has led many large high profile investigations in Ireland and overseas and has been involved in numerous commercial disputes in the Commercial and High Courts in Ireland. She works with clients in the pubic, consumables, retail, construction, pharma, IT, communications and aviation sectors.
Deirdre lectures on topics including forensic accounting, white-collar crime prevention and anti-bribery & corruption for Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Institute of Banking Ireland. She holds a BA in Accounting and Finance and a Masters of Business Studies in Accounting from Dublin City University.

Peter Glynn

Peter Glynn is a partner in the Consulting department. He focuses on delivering consulting services to clients in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industry. He has worked in the TMT industry for 18 years with software, telecommunication and platforms companies advising on enterprise sales and large scale transformational technology system integration and outsourcing projects. He also counsels TMT clients in digital operations across the end-to-end value chain from marketing, sales, service (technical & customer support) through to operations.
Peter holds a BA BAI Hons in Computer Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.

Suzanne McDonald

Suzanne McDonald is a partner in the Consulting department, with responsibility for the healthcare portfolio. Suzanne focusses on providing health and social care clients with services ranging across strategy, risk and financial management, workforce planning, operational improvement and health technology. She has over 25 years’ experience of working in the health sector, having worked with clients in the social care, private healthcare, healthcare regulation, and public health sectors. Her experience includes 15 years working in pharmaceutical regulation, where she engaged with national and international bodies such as the Department of Health, the European Medicines Agency and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

As an experienced Board member in a number of sectors including NGO, telecommunications, and higher education, Suzanne also supports clients on governance matters. She is a member of the Institute of Directors (UK & Ireland), and with a special interest in healthcare technology she is a member of the Irish Computer Society and Health Information Society of Ireland (HISI).

Caroline O’Driscoll

Caroline O’Driscoll is a partner in the tax department at Deloitte. She has over 20 years’ experience advising companies on inward and outward investments. In particular, she specialises in advising companies and entrepreneurs in the technology sector on mergers, acquisitions, structuring, R&D credits and exits.
In a voluntary capacity, Caroline is the co-founder of iWish, the organisation that encourages and motivates young female students to pursue careers in STEM. She is also the current chairperson of the technology industry group it@cork. Caroline holds a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from UCC. She is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and an associate member of the Irish Taxation Institute.
