Michael leads Deloitte Ireland’s Audit & Assurance practice. He has responsibility for the provision of professional services to a broad range of the firm’s major national and international clients and specialises in advising companies (both public and private) on finance, governance matters and the provision of audit services.

Amanda Tickel

Amanda leads Deloitte’s global Brexit insights team based in the UK and co-ordinates Deloitte’s Brexit expertise across the global network of firms. She advises businesses on the spectrum of Brexit related issues, assessing the scale of potential impact under various scenarios and helping clients to plan mitigating actions to minimise impact and maximise opportunity. Amanda is also an International Tax Partner advising on supply chain and trading chain models. She mainly works with the technology, telecoms, media, consumer retail and manufacturing industries. Amanda has held a wide number of roles during her career; including leading client relationships, global representative to the OECD, mentoring, non-executive board roles and trusteeships.

Michelle Byrne

Michelle is a director in our financial reporting advisory team. She currently advises clients on key accounting matters, under both IFRS and Irish GAAP. She manages specialist assignments and her expertise include GAAP conversions, accounting for emerging accounting standards and addressing areas of complexity such as acquisition accounting, financial instruments, lease accounting, revenue recognition and tax accounting.

Jack is an audit director in our financial services practice. He specialises in the investment funds including Irish (including ETFs) and offshore funds, asset management companies and third party service providers. He advises his clients on accounting, regulatory, industry trends and operational efficiencies.

Oliver Holt

Oliver Holt, Director of Financial Reporting Services, Ireland Involved in an accounting technical role since 1994, joining Deloitte in 2007. Responsibilities include GAAP (IFRS and Irish/UK) interpretations, accounting technical support and practical application of GAAP in Deloitte Ireland including for both on-going IFRS reporters and reporters converting to IFRS for the first time. Also has a lead role in the professional development and updating of clients.

Tom Maguire

Tom leads the firm’s Tax Policy and Technical Services team. He works closely with our client teams to deliver the insights they need to address their most complex business issues. Tom provides tax advice on a wide range of domestic and international corporation tax matters. He is highly regarded within the tax profession as a deep technical specialist, his extensive experience includes having authored and co-authored leading texts on matters such as the Irish tax impact of IFRS, certain financial services transactions and Ireland’s general anti-avoidance rule. He is also the current author of “Irish Income Tax”, which is recognised as the most authoritative commentary on income tax in this country and which is used regularly by tax advisers, accountants, lawyers, judges and others in the tax profession.

Valarie Daunt is the Human Capital Lead in Deloitte Consulting.

She has spent over 16 years delivering human capital solutions to clients across multiple sectors both as a practitioner in the role of HRD with an international bank and as a Consultant.

John McCarroll

John is a partner in the Financial Services Group in Dublin and has over 20 years’ experience in financial services audit and advisory work in Ireland and internationally. His recent experience includes lead audit partner on a local Pillar Bank as well as a number of Irish based asset management and private equity companies as well as IFSC based banks. John is the head of technical accounting for Deloitte Ireland and leads IFRS 9 advisory services for Deloitte Ireland. He specialises in financial instrument valuation, treasury and credit risk. He has worked with large Irish and European companies and banks. This includes work performed on accounting advisory, credit, impairment, restructuring, capital, financial instruments valuation, benchmarking, process and control reviews.
