Our Summer Internship Programme
An internship at Deloitte is a fantastic way to get up close to the world of business, find out what excites and inspires.
What does the Summer Internship Programme involve?

Joining Deloitte is your opportunity to become part of the worldwide leader in professional services and consulting, a global network of 244,400 people in 150 countries, and over 2,300 in Ireland.
We offer a range of summer internships that reflect the opportunities on offer at Deloitte.

What kind of work would I be doing?
Each of our internships has a different focus, so your work will differ depending on the role you choose.
If it’s Audit & Assurance, you will have the opportunity to gain insights into a host of industries including financial services, consumer business, technology, media and telecommunications. Whereas, in Risk Advisory, it’s all about working with companies to identify, manage and prepare for risk, develop strategies to minimise risk and react quickly and confidently when faced with an issue or crisis.
How long does the Summer Internship Programme last?
We have a range of 6 week and 12 week summer intern opportunities across the firm in our five office locations.
Will there be a graduate position at the end of my Internship?
Not automatically. This is a work experience placement, designed to give you a good insight into what it’s like to work here If you impress us over the summer – and you like us – we could offer you a place on our Graduate Programme depending on availability. Either way, your internship experience will stand you in good stead, whatever you choose to do.
Who can join the Summer Internship Programme?
We encourage students from all degrees and disciplines to apply to our Summer Internship programme. However, we do require you are on track for a 2.1 degree or higher.
Of course, you’ll need more than good grades to make the most of the opportunity. If you’re fascinated by business, and can’t wait to get stuck in to complex projects, you’ll fit right in.
What can I expect from a Summer Internship at Deloitte?
We think a summer internship is a great opportunity to meet a variety of people at Deloitte and get an insight into the work carried out within each of our business areas. Our student insight sessions take place each Friday throughout our internship programme, showcasing topics such as Innovation in Audit & Assurance and advancements in Consulting Technology.
Skills for Life Sessions
Deloitte summer interns participate in invaluable Skills for Life sessions throughout the Summer months. These sessions include everything from your Professional Brand and Dressing for Success to Mindfulness and Clean Eating.
The Deloitte International Virtual Experience
Each year, ten interns are selected to represent Ireland in the Deloitte International Virtual Experience (DIVE).
The DIVE project offers our summer interns a unique global challenge and the opportunity to make an impact by diving into real issues affecting international business in today’s world. With access to Deloitte leaders and coaches across the summer months, this internship initiative will enable our summer interns to work in diverse and collaborative groups while also developing individual leadership skills.
As part of this elite group, our summer interns build an international network and foster relationships that will give them an edge after graduation and enhance their career for years to come.
It’s a small step to a new network and a giant leap toward the future.
Intern & Co-op Impact Day
IMPACT Day is a Deloitte Global initiative which encourages our people to give back to the local and surrounding communities by providing their time and labor to a number of different charities and nonprofit organisations to achieve a previously determined goal.
We are proud to be able to roll out this initiative to our Intern & Co-op group as part of their summer programme. Summer intern Impact Day projects include painting, decorating and gardening. These are projects that would otherwise take up the valuable time and resources of non-profits.
