The Deloitte Difference University Challenge

Keelin Cassidy, Gabriel Ogundipe, Vahe Sasunts and Joshua Mckee from Trinity College Dublin Global who have won the opportunity to compete in the Deloitte Difference University Challenge international final at our global leadership centre, Deloitte University, in Texas!

What an exciting and tense atmosphere as teams from UCD, DCU, UL, NUIG and UCC who all presented excellent business cases to our judges. We enjoyed meeting everyone on the day and want to thank all the participating colleges. Bon Voyage to the winners and the best of luck in Texas!

About the competition

The award winning Deloitte Difference University Challenge offers students from all years and all disciplines the opportunity to take part in a unique series of challenges on campus. This is a three stage, team based competition requiring teams to devise solutions to a number of case studies covering all aspects of our business.

This challenge will not only encourage you to use your creative thinking abilities, but will also help you better understand the diverse and rewarding career paths available at Deloitte!

The winning team will win €1,200 on campus and the huge opportunity to experience our global leadership centre, Deloitte University, in Texas!

How to apply

Turn up at one of our scheduled events listed on the timetable below or email your CV to DeloitteDifferenceIE@deloitte.ie.

Students will be selected to participate based on a number of criteria including course discipline. (limited places available).

Stage 1: Campus round

The first stage of DDUC will take place on campus in UL, DCU, UCD, UCC, NUIG and TCD from 5 October to 16 October. The winning team at our six university events will walk away with a huge €1,200 on the night.

Last year, we had an overwhelming response in each college where teams really got into the challenges making the judge’s decision very difficult! All teams will also receive information on the diverse graduate careers available at Deloitte from Analytics to Forensics, Tax to Digital and more.

Stage 2 National Final

The winning teams from each campus event then participate in the national finals case challenge in our world-class learning facility, the Deloitte Academy in Dublin.

The winner will be chosen to represent Deloitte Ireland at the US challenge in Texas.

Stage 3 Global Challenge

The national winners will then represent Ireland to compete in the Deloitte US Case Study competition, taking place in our global leadership centre, the Deloitte University in Texas, in early spring.
