Deloitte, the leading business advisory firm, is pleased to announce that it has won three awards at the gradireland Graduate Recruitment Awards 2014. The firm was voted Ireland’s most popular graduate recruiter in the professional services sector for the second year running. In addition Deloitte won the award for Best Innovation on Campus and the Silver Medal Award for Best Graduate Training and Development Programme.
The gradireland Graduate Recruitment awards recognise Ireland’s leading graduate employers from the perspective of those that matter most – the students and graduates who will provide the next generation of innovators and leaders in Irish business. Over 8,000 students and recent graduates from universities and colleges across Ireland casted their vote for the awards this year.
The firm won the award for Best Innovation on Campus for the Deloitte Data Analytics Lab at the UCD Quinn School of Business. The collaboration, which promotes knowledge and learning in this growing and important area of business, facilitates a range of diverse learning experiences outside of the traditional classroom environment for both students and faculties alike.
It was presented with the Silver Medal Award for Best Graduate Training and Development Programme for its Consulting Academy, which provides a tailored training and development pathway for graduates working in the technology area.
In addition to the three awards, Deloitte was also named second most popular graduate recruiter overall.
Brendan Jennings, Managing Partner, Deloitte, commented on the firm’s win: “Winning awards like this is particularly satisfying from our point of view as it demonstrates that students regard Deloitte as the best place to start their career in professional services in Ireland. They know that with us they get hands on experience, mentoring that is second to none and an opportunity to progress quickly. Today’s graduates are able critics and know what they want - they’re looking for dynamic and progressive workplaces to build a successful career. We are extremely happy that we have won this award two years in a row and that the students of Ireland hold us in such high regard.”
Deloitte’s Head of HR, Orla Graham also commented that “We are particularly pleased that we have been recognised in the area of training and development, as supporting our people at all stages of their career is something that we place considerable importance on. Our goal is to provide people with a distinctive experience where they can develop personally and professionally. We are similarly committed to supporting the education of students and indeed investing in the development of key skills, and therefore it is very encouraging that the Deloitte Data Analytics Lab has been recognised at these awards.”
Deloitte is a significant recruiter of graduates on an annual basis, and over the last year has recruited for more than 300 graduate and undergraduate opportunities.
