Regional Opportunites

Be central to our success wherever your location

From the South East to the North West, from Northern Ireland to the southern most point of Cork, we have an active presence in every part of the Ireland

Each office has its own team culture, and many will have a slightly different focus. Some are centres of excellence within a specific sector; others offer greater exposure to certain types of clients; while others are known for their skills in a particular business area. Outside of Dublin, the smaller size of our offices often allows you to gain a broader view of the firm and network across other business areas – while still giving you access to the resources and benefits of a firm of our size. It can also give you excellent opportunities to be more involved in advisory work or certain other types of projects. We work out of five main regions in the Ireland, each of which is outlined below.

Galway

The new Galway office opened in 2015 with the the creation of 30 positions. This is our fifth location in Ireland and offers a full suite of services with a particular focus on audit, accounting and risk advisory, tax, research and development and government incentives, corporate finance and restructuring, and company secretarial services.

Based in the Galway Financial Service Centre, Deloitte has a strong client portfolio in Connacht, having worked closely with companies across various sectors in Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo and Leitrim. We have expert teams in consumer business, energy and resources, financial services, life sciences and healthcare, manufacturing, public sector including higher education, technology and telecommunication.

Gerard Casey, Audit & Advisory Partner, and Dan O’Donovan, Tax Partner, leads the Galway office and is supported by a senior management team. Key personnel on this team include Brian Farrell, a tax director with 13 years’ experience, with a particular focus on advising multinational companies, Irish plcs and Irish indigenous companies; Austin Sammon, an audit director and former managing partner of a Galway city firm for over eight years, specialising in advising private businesses; and Katie O’Connor, an audit senior manager with over a decade of experience advising both international and private businesses.
