7. Recognising the Importance of Health and Well-being

We recognise the importance of positive wellbeing and the ability to achieve career-life balance. We have a number of supports in place to help you manage your life and reward you for being part of a world class team.

Deloitte Unplugged is the firm’s newly launched wellbeing initiative reminding our people to refuel both physically and mentally and change the mindset that we have to be ‘plugged in’ all of the time. After all unplugging is good for all of us – for our health, our creativity, our energy and our focus.

As part of the programme we have a bi-monthly newsletter covering areas such as flexible policies, healthy recipe ideas, mindfulness and articles on health and wellbeing. We also hold information sessions and programmes throughout the year covering fitness, health and diet.

Since our inaugural Mental Health Awareness Week in 2013, we have put a strong focus on mental health awareness in the workplace. Due to its success, the month of May is now dedicated to mental health awareness every year, in conjunction with the national Green Ribbon campaign.
