Life at Deloitte

Hear from...

Zoë Greene

What do you like most about your role?

Every day is different with new challenges and opportunities to learn. There is a great sense of working together and collaboration. This along with the vast global network and knowledge base makes for a rewarding workplace.

What attracted you to Deloitte?

Being one of the Big 4 made Deloitte top of my list for my move into Consulting. I had also heard that, from a Consulting perspective, Deloitte is the market leader in Ireland, the one to watch and the one that is experiencing a growth spirit! Deloitte is known as a great place to work and a company who focus on their people so this was also something that appealed to me.

What didn’t you know but wish you had known when applying and joining Deloitte?

I hadn’t previously worked in one of the Big 4 so the competitive, fast paced culture was something I expected but it still took a little bit of getting used to.

I also didn’t realise how great the Sports and social clubs are. There is club for everything with regular events. Being a runner I get to enter a number of races a year which are sponsored by the firm, something my fellow runners, who don’t work in Deloitte, are very jealous of.

What work do you get involved in on a day to day basis at Deloitte?

The work I am involved in is varied, from managing digital projects to analysing and defining customer journey’s/experience to designing and rolling out new operating models. I also get involved in the firm development and growth activities.

How do you deliver or contribute impact, leadership and innovation in your role?

My role involves working with our Financial Services clients to define and deliver innovative solutions from digital to understanding and serving customer’s needs . Through Deloitte’s global network I get the opportunity to learn about what other firms are doing and to share experiences.

What social, society or CSR activities have you been involved with at Deloitte?

I am a member of the Running and Cycling clubs. I have been involved in the Junior Achievement programme and take part in Impact day each year.

How has Deloitte played a role in your long term career goals?

I’ve been part of the Deloitte Consulting team for over two years. In that time I have had the opportunity to gain valuable experience, to learn new skills and to progress up the career ladder.

What have you enjoyed most about your time in Deloitte so far?

The people I have gotten to know, the variety of projects I’ve managed and the opportunity to progress my career.
