Are banks attracting the right talent?
The Deloitte Talent in Banking survey 2015, produced in collaboration with Universum, surveyed 211,000 business students from more than 2,000 universities and institutes of higher education in 55 countries. We asked them about their intentions, aspirations and expectations in relation to banking careers.
In spite of some challenges, the banking sector in Ireland has proved a resilient career choice for business students over the last two years. However, despite considerable reform and an increasingly positive economic outlook, the sector continues to trail behind software and computer services and FMCG in the competition for talent.
According to the global findings, Banks are no longer the employer of choice for business students. This report looks at critical talent issues facing banks. It suggests how to improve the employee value proposition to ensure banks recruit and retain the talent they need to meet the challenges of the future.
