Deloitte wins national Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year Award 2016
Deloitte Ireland, the leading business advisory firm, has been announced as the winner of the 2016 Ireland Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year award in the International Tax Review (ITR) European Tax Awards. Deloitte was chosen from a range of firms which were nominated for the award. Deloitte Ireland previously won this award in 2012 and 2013.
Commenting on the win, Gerard Feeney, Head of Transfer Pricing at Deloitte Ireland said: “We are delighted to be recognised again with this award. It is a fantastic reward for our hard work and commitment to our clients. By providing local expertise, along with a global support network, we are ensuring our clients get the breadth of knowledge and support that they require. Many multinationals based in Ireland, and operating in Europe and beyond, face significant transfer pricing challenges particularly given the global tax reset with the OECD/G20 Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) project and EC anti-tax avoidance package expected to cause significant changes to transfer pricing law and practice. This award is testament to how the team at Deloitte is helping clients respond to these challenges.”
The Deloitte transfer pricing team comprises senior personnel from the tax team in Ireland, with extensive expertise not only in transfer pricing but also in international tax, indirect tax and customs. During 2016 the transfer pricing team has broadened its experience and expertise, with new hires from Australia, South Africa and Europe joining the team. The team, which is part of the wider Deloitte Transfer Pricing team globally, has significant experience working with multinational companies and indigenous Irish businesses with operations outside of Ireland both in relation to compliance issues and on the advisory front where transfer pricing has been used to assist clients to align tax efficiencies with their business model.
Our team in Ireland have worked with colleagues in the Deloitte global transfer pricing network in redesigning our “Go to Market” offering for transfer pricing documentation to help companies comply with the new OECD standard and to align the documentation offering we offer clients across the network. As a result the global practice has recently developed the “Deloitte TP Digital Dox” tool and other documentation solutions to provide a collaborative, streamlined, and user-friendly process for efficiently gathering client information for TP documentation reports. In addition to transfer pricing documentation our team also assist clients in other areas including dispute resolution, CbC Reporting/data analytics, debt/guarantee pricing and Business Model Optimisation (BMO).
