Deloitte appoint Ronan Ferry as partner in tax department

22 April 2020

Deloitte is pleased to announce that Ronan Ferry has been appointed a partner in its tax practice.

Ronan will lead the Tax Management Consulting (TMC) team at Deloitte Ireland. Ronan advises large and emerging multinational companies in transforming tax function operations, with a particular focus on implementing efficient processes and adopting new technologies, ranging from ERP systems to automation and analytic tools.

Ronan brings over 16 years of experience to his new role having worked in Dublin, New York and San Francisco. He delivers a broad perspective to clients using his experience in providing tax advice to companies on multinational structuring and compliance projects and leading large tax automation projects.

Ronan will be an integral part of Deloitte’s Global TMC network, which helps clients transform their tax processes, technology and data, bringing efficiency and value to tax departments and thereby allowing tax departments deliver greater strategic value to their businesses.

Commenting on his appointment, Ronan said: “I am really excited to be joining the tax team at Deloitte. Deloitte’s expertise in delivering ERP, innovative technology and process redesign solutions to finance and tax functions is something that will enable our Tax Management Consulting team to really bring value to clients. Tax professionals in client organisations are looking at ways in which they can meet their reporting requirements more efficiently and deliver value in an ever changing international landscape. I believe we are well-placed to help them in that regard, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to do just that.”

Lorraine Griffin, Head of Tax at Deloitte Ireland said: “Tax functions in many organisations are looking at how they can efficiently manage their tax obligations, and also derive insights and learnings from the data that they hold on systems. Technology can play an important role in this regard. Ronan’s skillset – both from a technology point of view and his tax expertise - is unique in the market and a really welcome addition to the overall tax offering we deliver clients. We are delighted to have him on board.”

Ronan holds a degree and masters in Accounting and Finance from DCU. He is also a member of the Irish Tax Institute, Chartered Accountants Ireland and is a Certified Public Accountant with the Californian Board of Accountancy
