Laura has 20 years’ experience in financial services. Prior to joining Deloitte, Laura worked with a large fund administrator for almost 11 years, during which time she managed two functional areas, namely Compliance and Transfer Agency, and lead several company and group wide initiatives within the organisation, including the development of AML policies and procedures, the application of domestic tax reporting requirements and the development and implementation of a FATCA service for reporting financial institutions in several jurisdictions. Laura held previous roles in the areas of investor services and compliance and holds a Degree in Law from the Dublin Institute of Technology and a Diploma in Compliance from the Institute of Bankers. Laura currently leads the Irishfunds Transfer Agency Working Group, playing an active role in the development of industry initiatives, representing industry at meetings with the Central Bank of Ireland and the Revenue Commissioners as required. She has been at the forefront of regulatory developments in the financial services sector, in particular, the development of the Investor Money Regulations for fund service providers and the evolving Anti-Money Laundering landscape for all financial institutions. Since joining Deloitte, Laura has worked on a number of large AML Remediation Projects, IMR Implementation & Audit support, FATCA Readiness Reviews and Consumer Protection initiatives.
