Since its founding in 2008, Houston-based Pacific Drilling has become a premier ultradeepwater drilling contractor in the oil and natural gas industry, growing aggressively to about 1,200 employees. However, the company wasn’t able to track performance at the desired level, and its SAP ERP system was overdue for an upgrade.
